The Middlebury Panthers as they get the game-winner in overtime to defeat the #1 Norwich Cadets at the Primelink Great Northern Shootout. #1 Norwich Cadets would matchup with rival Middlebury Panthers in the Semi-finals of the 22nd Primelink Great Northern Shootout. It would be another great game between two great teams. The game would remain scoreless through the first period. Middlebury's Matt Danner would break the ice at the 11-minute mark to give the underdog Panthers the lead. The Cadets would keep fighting and tie the game up in the final minute of the second period on the Felix Brassard powerplay goal. The game would end up going to overtime as neither team could score in the third period not for the lack of chances. In the overtime Panthers Zach Shapiro would get the game-winner on a scramble in front of the net to complete the upset victory.
