The #2 Plattsburgh State Cardinals would host the Endicott Gulls in the first round of the NCAA Tournament. The game would start of good for the Gulls as they would score 4:37 into the first period for the 1-0 lead. The Gulls would strike again just under five minutes left to have the surprising 2-0 lead. Although the Cardinals would come out of the locker room fired up and Courtney Moriarty would score four minutes into the period to cut the deficit in half at 2-1. The game would remain there until there was 8:19 left in the game when Annie Katonka would score on a scramble play in front of the net for a 2-2. The Cardinals would fight for the remainder of the period with no success. The game would head to overtime although we would not be there very long as the Annie Katonka would send the home fans home happy 45 seconds in for the 3-2 win.
