In the second period the Cardinals would get three goals in the period from Kaitlin Drew-Mead, Madison Walker and Mackenize Millen for the 4-1 lead after the second period. The Cardinals would strike again in the third period for three more goals from Courtney Moriarity, Annie Katonka, and Nicole Unsworth (second of the night) to secure the 7-1 victory.
