It would be the ninth night of racing at the Airborne Speedway and it would be a packed pit with over 100 cars to race on Hartson Total Opening Triple 40's night as there would be extra distance races for the 358 Modifieds, Sportsman Modified, and the Renegades. Along with the Limited Sportsman Modified and the Street Stock having their normal 15 laps events. After all the battle in the heat races including a couple of photo finishes it would be onto the main events. First up would be the Northern Blacktopping Limited Sportsman Modified for their fifteen-lap event and it would be caution fest but after all the chaos settle the winner would be Dale Gonyo getting his second win of the season over Charlotte Morin and Parker Dermody to round out the top three. Then next up would be the first of our Triple 40s with the Be Cool Heating and Cooling 358 Modifieds and it would be a battle of the front row all race long between Chris Raabe and Felix Roy and after some lap cars got in the way near the end of the race Raabe would pull away for the win and Roy would be second and Steve Bernier would round out the top three. Then next up would be the J+S Steel Sportsman Modified for there 40 lap affair and Lonnie Rivers would get the race lead off the start of the race but there would eventually be a challenge up front between him and Jamy Begor that would see Begor get around him around the halfway through the race but there would be a third player in the battle near the end of the event as Fire Swamp would look to go back to back with wins but Begor would hold on for his second win of the season. Then it would be the last Triple 40 of the night with the Hartson Total Opening Renegades and it would be the Billy Thwaits and the Josh Terry show up front with Josh Terry getting the win at the end on the late-race pass for his first win of the season. Then after a long night of racing, it would finally be the last race of the night with the Taylor Rental Street Stock for their fifteen-lap affair. The race would start off with a battle up front between Brett Manor and Jason Bradley but old Reliable would come up from the 6th spot Jacob Fountain to get the lead and it would be a battle til the end between him and John Michael Bressette as Fountain would get his third win of the season. The track will be quiet next weekend July 29th as the Clinton County Fair is in town for the weekend. Although the track will come back to life on August 5th for the Small Block/Big Block Challenge.
