Zack Daniels 930) drops to the bottom of the track and passes Joel Herne (AK47) to get the feature win on the night. It would be the first race in three weekends at the Mohawk International Raceway and it would be one of the bigs on the Independence Weekend Spectular and part of the Mohawk Series and there would be 97 cars in the pits. After all the heat racing was done it would be on to the features and first up would be the Turtles Nest Mini Stocks and Francis White would come from the third starting spot and get the lead on lap 1 and lead them all for the win. Then we would have the King Canna Limited Sportsman Modified and Kyle Reif would get the lead of the first and lead for the first ten laps when he would get passed by Devon Guyette and Bob Laware as Guyette would get the win as Reif and Laware would round out the podium. Then we would have one of the main races on the night on tap with the Twin Leaf 35 for the Sportsman Modified. Nick Heywood would get the early lead of the race over Jalbert at the start. There would be a bad wreck off the restart on lap eight when Tyler Stevenson would meet the backstretch wall and flip and get hit by the pack on the way through. From there it would be the Nick Heywood and Thomas Cook show and on a restart with six laps to go would see Heywood take the lead over Cook but there be no give and Thomas Cook would get the win as they came across the line side by side at the checker. Then it would be the Good Leaf 40 for the 358 Modifieds and it would see the race go 37 laps caution free with Ryan Arbuthnot leading all 40 laps for the win although it would be not without a great challenge from Chris Rabbe and Tim Fuller to round out the podium. Then the last race of the night would be the Famous Aye's 20 for the Pro Stock and Roch Aubin would get the lead off the start. Although it would be short-lived as Joel Herne would take over the lead on lap three. Although there would be a challenge from a newcomer to the division this season Zack Daniels would take the lead on lap 6 and from there would set sail for the win. The track will come back to life next weekend with the 358 Modified "Run what you Brung", Sportsman Modified, Pro Stock, Limited Sportsman Modified, Mini Stocks, and the Enduros. Gallery
