It would be the second game of the weekend series between the #3 Plattsburgh State Cardinals and the Oswego State Lakers in Northeast Women's Hockey League action and the Plattsburgh State Cardinals would be looking at the weekend sweep. The Lakers would be looking to end the sweep chances early as they would score 3:40 into the game as Kensie Malone would light the lamp. Although the Cardinals would answer back five minutes later on the Julia Masotta goal to tie the game at one. The game would stay there till the 12:11 mark of the second period when Sara Krauseneck would stuff it in on the short side to give the Cardinals the 2-1 lead. Then at the 3:33 mark of the third period the Cardinals would make it a two-goal lead on the Nicole Unsworth goal at 3-1. Then with 4:16 left in the game, the Cardinals would ice the game away and get the 4-1 victory on the Mae Olshansky goal as the Cardinals would get the weekend sweep. In the winning effort, Lilla Nease would make 21 saves as the Cardinals would go to 14-2 on the season.
