The first goal of the game would not come until the 11:36 mark of the second period when Tyler Ignazzitto would light the lamp for the Falcons and make it a 1-0 game. Then with just about two minutes left in the period, the Falcons would strike again this time on the powerplay from Colt Corpse for a 2-0 game. Then when the teams came back for the third period the Falcons would go for the knockout as they would score just a minute into the period to make it 3-0. Although the Monarchs would show some life as Mahingan Decontie would score at the 5:26 mark of the third to make it 3-1. The Monarchs would keep fighting and make it a 3-2 game at the 9:17 mark of the third period on a powerplay goal by Jack Cooper. Then with just under five minutes left in the game, the Monarchs would complete the comeback and tie at three on the Nick Snyder. That is where the game would stay until the overtime and in that overtime, Alex Gagnon would get his second of the night and it was an important one as it would be the game-winner. In the winning effort, Logan Bateman would make 29 saves as they go to 9-6 on the season while the Monarchs fall to 2-10 on the season. Gallery
