The celebration is on at home plate as the Padres would beat the Athletics 7-6 on a walk off base hit by Matt Rivers (#88). In a game that the Padres never lead until the walk off base hit in the 9th inning. The Athletics would roll out to an early 5-0 lead after the 5th inning. Before the Padres would come roaring back to win the game by that 7-6 score. With the win the Padres advance to the semi finals against the Expos in a best of three series that will see the Padres host game 1 on August 2nd at the Saranac High School and then Expos will host games 2 and 3 at Chip Cummings Field in Plattsburgh.
