#1 Ticonderoga Sentinels Vs #2 Moriah Vikings - Section VII Class D Championship - October 27 2017

Moriah's Dylan Trombley (10) steps in front of Ticonderoga's Ethan Thompson (39) and makes the catch on the goal line to save the touchdown. It would be the Section VII Class D Championship between long time rivals the #1 Ticonderoga Sentinels and the #2 Moriah Vikings. The Sentinels would take the 7-0 lead 5 minutes into the first quarter on Hayden Scuderi's 1 yard run. The Moriah Vikings would get on the board in the last minute of the first quarter on a Rob Flack 6 yard touchdown but they would fail the 2 point conversion and trail 7-6 after the first quarter. In the second quarter the Vikings would take a 14-7 lead on a Connor Anderson 2 yard run at 7:45 of the quarter. The game would stay there all the way til the 8:20 mark of the third quarter when Pelkey would score on the 1 yard run to make it 22-7. Then at the 4:15 mark of the fourth quarter Pelkey would score again for the Vikings to extend there lead to 28-7. The Sentinels would then do there best to make a comeback as they would score 43 seconds later on a 13 yard pass to Michael Dushane to make it 28-15. The Sentinels would keep fighting and with 35 seconds left in the game Michael Dushane would score again to make it 28-22. The Sentinels would then attempt the onside but it would be unsuccessful and the Vikings would get the 28-22 victory. In the winning effort the Moriah Vikings would go to 8-1 on the season and have a meeting with the Tupper Lake Lumberjacks in the New York State Class D First Round. As the Ticonderoga Sentinels season comes to an end at 8-1. Gallery

#1 Moriah Vikings Vs #2 Ticonderoga Sentinels - New York State Section VII Class D Championship - November 4th 2019

Fends Off Defender

Moriah's Braden Swan (32) fends off Ticonderoga's Owen Stonitsch (24) on the cutback. It would be the annual match up in the Section VII Class D championship. As the #1 Moriah Vikings would play the #2 Ticonderoga Sentinels. The Vikings would take the 8-0 lead at the 3:28 mark of the first quarter with a Maddox Blaise 2 yard run. The game would stay there the first play of the second quarter when Maddox Blaise gets a 3 yard run to make it 14-0 vikings. Then on the next drive the Vikings would score his first of the night on a 13 yard run at 3:41 of the second quarter and take the 22-0 lead into the half. When the teams came out for the second half it would be more of the same as the Vikings would get two more touchdowns coming from Braden Swan and Todd Malbon for the 34-0 victory. In the winning effort the Moriah Vikings go to 6-3 and to the New York State Class D Playoffs as the Ticonderoga Sentinels season comes to end at 1-8. Gallery

Ticonderoga Sentinels @ Plattsburgh Hornets - Champlain Valley Athletic Conference Football - October 12th 2019

Plattsburgh's Myles King (88) with the crunching hit at the end of the game on Ticonderoga's Dillon Schlogl (1) to break up the pass. It would be week 6 of the Champlain Valley Athletic Conference season and it would feature the Ticonderoga Sentinels at the Plattsburgh Hornets. It would take sometime for the scoring to happen as the defenses were up to the challenge. Then Hornets would end up taking the 7-0 lead on the 17 yard touchdown pass to Dylan Garrant as the second quarter began. That is where the score would remain through the first half and until the 3:25 of the third quarter when the Hornets extend there lead to 14-0 on Javon Carpenters ten yard run. The Hornets would take control of the game with just under 4 minutes left in third quarter when Myles King would catch the pass at the goal line for the 20-0 lead. The Sentinels would get on the board 1:30 into the fourth quarter on Monty Benedict touchdown to make it 20-7 down the stretch. Although the Hornets would put the game away down the stretch on the 2 yard pass to Benjamin Bourdeau and secure the 27-7 win. In the winning effort the Hornets go to 2-4 while the Sentinels fall to 1-5 on the season. Gallery

The Eagles would take early lead at 3:33 of the first quarter at 7-0 on the Andrew Vannatten 40 yard pass. The Eagles would double there lead to 14-0 on a Connor McGinnis 73 yard run for the score. In the second quarter the flood gates would open up and the Eagles would score twice times while the Sentinels would get one to make it 29-7 at the half. Scoring for the Eagles would be Carson Lapier and Connor Mcginnis while Schlogel scores for Ticonderoga. When the teams came back for the second half the Eagles would keep the pedal down and Carson LaPier would score again to make it 36-7. The game would stay there til Ticonderoga's Benedict scores halfway through the fourth to make it 36-12. The Eagles would put the icing on the game with a 34 yard run by Jonah Phaneuff to secure the 42-12 victory. The Moriah Vikings pose for there team photo as they are crowned the 2019 New York State Section VII Class D champions. It would be the annual match up in the Section VII Class D championship. As the #1 Moriah Vikings would play the #2 Ticonderoga Sentinels. The Vikings would take the 8-0 lead at the 3:28 mark of the first quarter with a Maddox Blaise 2 yard run. It would be the traditional Class D Championship for Section VII as the #1 Moriah Vikings would meet up with the #2 Ticonderoga Sentinels for the championship. The game would start of very defensive as the first score would come at 3:41 and Moriah would take the 8-0 lead on Jarin Sargents 22 yard reception. Although the Sentinels would march right down the field and score just over a minute later and make it 8-6 on the Dillon Schlogl score. Moriah would extend there lead 90 seconds later on a 76 yard catch and run by Jarin Sargent for his second score of the game and a 16-6 lead. Then with just under two minutes left in the half the Vikings would score again on Jarin Sargents third touchdown of the quarter this time for 39 yards to make it 24-6. In the second half the Sentinels would try and get back in the game with a score to make it 24-14. Although it wouldn't be enough as the Vikings would get two more scores for the 36-14 victory. With the win the Moriah Vikings go to 7-2 and wait the section II team in the state playoffs while the Ticonderoga Sentinels season comes to an end at 2-7. Gallery

Ausable Valley Patriots Vs Ticonderoga Sentinels - Champlain Valley Athletic Conference - Week 7 - October 12th 2018

Ticonderoga's Russell Gallo II (44) with the catch and fights through the tacklers for the extra yards. It would be the final week of the regular season and it would feature the Ausable Valley Patriots and Ticonderoga Sentinels. The Sentinels would take the 7-0 lead with two minutes left in the first quarter on the quarterback sneak. The Patriots would take the 8-7 lead with 4:30 left in the first half on the Jordan Fletcher five yard run. The Patriots would take the lead in the final minute of the first half when Michael Douglas caught the 16 yard pass and make it 14-7 at the half. Ticonderoga would get with one on the 8 yard run by Bryce Gautreau and make it 14-13 game. Ausable would come right back on the next play and connect on a 90 yard pass play to Luis Perez and make it a 20-13 game. Although with four minutes left in the quarter Bryce Gautreau would score again on a 14 yard play to make it 20-19. With just under four minutes left in the game the Sentinels would take there first lead of the game at 25-20 on the Michael Dushane five yard touchdown pass. Although the Patriots would march right down the field and Luis Perez would score on a five yard touchdown pass in the final minute and secure the 26-25 victory for there first victory of the season. In the winning effort the Ausable Valley Patriots would go to 1-6 while the Ticonderoga Sentinels fall to 1-6 on the season. Gallery
