Salmon River Shamrocks Oakley Thomas (15) with shot and score right over the top of Malone Huskies Dan Round (30). The Malone Huskies would take one the chin to rival Salmon River Shamrocks 4-1. The Shamrocks would get one in the board first on Colton Hart's goal at 8:43 of the first. Then in the second period would strike fast with Tye Terrance scoring 20 seconds in. Then Shawn Avery would get one with 3 minutes left in the period to take the 3-0 lead in the final period. Then in the third Oakley Thomas would put the icing on the cake 3 minutes in. The Huskies would get on board when Tucker Bartenslager got the short-handed goal. Cory Garrow would stop 19 in the win for Salmon River as Dan Rondeau would stop 22 in the loss. With the win, the Shamrocks improve to 4-0-1 on the season while the Huskies fall to 1-5. Gallery

Saranac Chiefs Matt Macasland (39) with the wrister on net as part of his hat trick day. The Saranac Chiefs would get the 6-3 victory over the Malone Huskies. The Chiefs would get two goals in the first from Jeff Kurz and Matt Macasland to take the 2-0 lead after one. The scoring would open up in the 2nd period as the teams would combine for 5 goals. Scoring would be Joey Bridgeman and Matt Macasland for the Chiefs and for the Huskies Tanner Studlack, Jake Henning, and Trevor Henderson. Saranac would take the 4-3 lead into the third. The Chiefs would finish off the game two goals in the third by Macasland and McCall for the 6-3 win. In the winning effort, Zach Lareau would stop 45 of 48 shots. The Chiefs improve to 2-2 on the season while the Huskies fall to 1-5. Gallery

Malone Huskies Jacob Henning (10) tries to stuff the puck in the short side past the goalie. The Malone Huskies would fall to the Lake Placid Blue Bombers 5-3 in nonleague action. The Blue Bombers would get the quick 1-0 lead 9 seconds in. The Huskies would tie it back up later in the first on Jacob Henning's goal. The Blue Bombers answer with another goal to take the 2-1 into the break. Then in the second period, the Blue Bombers would get another one for the 3-1 lead. Before the Huskies would come charging back to tie it at 3 on Tanner Studlack and Jacob Henning (2nd of the night) goal. Then in the third, the Blue Bombers would take the lead for good with three minutes left. Then they would add an empty netter for the 5-3 final. In the lose Dan Rondeau would stop 26 shots. The Malone Huskies fall to 1-4 on the season.Gallery

Malone Huskies Austin Dunleavy (84) with the leaping catch in the endzone for the touchdown on the crossing pattern. It would be the Malone Huskies hosting the Potsdam Sandstones in the Northern Football Conference Class A Championship. It would be a close game throughout the first half as both teams would trade scores back and forth with the Huskies taking at 27-20 lead into the break. Although when the second half would start the Huskies would show their dominance as they would score four times in the third quarter to end up getting the 48-20 victory. In the winning effort John Picarco would have a three-touchdown day. With the win, the Malone Huskies advance to the state playoffs against Brunt Hill next weekend at Stillwater High School.
