Plattsburgh's Christina Magoline (11) and Saranac Lake/Lake Placid's Annabelle Bomnbard-Schmidt (13) battle for the puck along the endboards. The Plattsburgh Hornets would host Saranac Lake/Lake Placid in the Upstate New York Girls Hockey League action. It would be game at would pit two evenly matched teams. As there would be no goals through the first period. The first goal of the game would eventually come at the 5:18 mark of the second period when Saranac Lake/Lake Placid's Dariana Patterson would score to make it 1-0. That would almost be the lone goal of the game until Plattsburgh's McKenzie Brown would score with just over three minutes left in the game to tie it at one. The teams would end up in the overtime and in that overtime, Saranac Lake/Lake Placid's Rylee Preston would get the winner on the scramble in front halfway through the game to give the 2-1 win.
