It would be a battle inside the Champlain Valley Athletic Conference as the Plattsburgh Hornets would host the #9 Moriah Vikings in Boy's Basketball action. Both teams would have the offense going in the first quarter, and we would be deadlocked at the end of the first quarter at 16 a piece. The offenses were still hot in the second quarter as the Hornets would take the quarter 13-10, and the Hornets would take the 29-26 lead into the halftime break. When the teams returned for the third quarter, the Vikings would come out hot and look to return to the game. After the third quarter, they would take the lead with a 15-10 quarter and have a slim 41-39 lead into the fourth quarter. In the fourth quarter, the Hornets would take the quarter 15-13 and go to overtime tied at 54. Although coming down the stretch, both teams would have their chances to win it but couldn't cash in the winning basket. In the overtime period, the Hornets would have a 6-5 quarter, the Vikings would fall on the winning shot as the clock expired, and the Hornets would have the 60-59 victory. In the winning effort for the Hornets, Bryan Kemokai would have 27 points as they go to 8-5 on the season and will be back in action on Saturday against the Ogdensburg Blue Devils. As for the Moriah Vikings, they fall to 10-3 on the season, as Cooper Allen and Chase McGinmess have 14 points each night and will be back in action on Monday against Ticonderoga. Gallery
