It would be the second straight night of the Plattsburgh Hornets and Beekmantown Eagles rivalry from Plattsburgh, as we would have Boy Basketball action this time. The game would start well for the home Hornets as they would jump out to the 14-8 lead after the first quarter. In the second quarter, the Hornets would step up their game on both ends as they would hold the Eagles to just 5 points in, scoring 21 of their own and taking the 35-13 lead into the intermission. When the teams returned for the third quarter, it would almost be like a couple of rounds as the Eagles would come out soaring, have a 20-8 quarter, and cut it down to a ten-point game as it would be 43-33 Hornets after three. It would be the most equal one of the day in the fourth quarter as the Hornets would win the quarter 15-13 as they secure the 58-mandatory. In the winning effort for the Hornets, they will go to 7-2 on the season as Danny Hartman will lead the way with 28 points as they head into their next game against the Saranac Lake Red Storm on the road Friday.
