Joey Scarbrough (11VT) beats them to the checkered flag in the J+S Steel Sportsman Modified on Toppless night and brings home the $1,200 first-place check. The Airborne Park Speedway would come back to life Saturday night after being quiet for the last two weeks and would it ever be alive as there would be six divisions on Dapeau Sanitation and Hebret Lawn Care Night with the Sportsman Modifieds, Pro Stocks, Renegades, Mod Lites, Mini Stocks, and the Mohawk Valley Vintage Dirt Modifieds in action. After all the heat races on this long night of racing in front of a packed house, it would be onto the features. The first feature would be the Mohawk Valley Vintage Dirt Modifieds and they would have 12 cars on track in their four divisions and the winners would be Jack Miller, Joe Rando, Merv Blackwell, and George Karl. Then it would be on the J+S Steel Sportsman Modified on a topless night as they would go 30 laps for $1,200 to win on this night. The crowd favored Bucko Branham would get the early lead at the start of the race but there would be a charge coming from Nick Heywood and he would take the lead from the professor on this night. There would be a restart with about ten laps to go and it would be Heywood and Scarbrough on the front row they would go back and forth for a few laps but Joey Scarbrough would get around Heywood for his first win of the season and close the points to nine behind Nick Heywood in the early part of the season. Then next up it would be the return of the Mod Lites to Airborne as they return after five years and it would be a clinic up front by Justin Williams as he would get the 25-lap win over Pierre Oliver Trudel and Alex Forcier. Then it would be the first appearance of the season for the Pro Stocks and they would bring in 19 for there 25 lap event it would see Bastien Caron get the lead at the start of the race but there would be a charge from a local racer Zack Daniels to get the lead and he would hold the lead to the front stretch on the final lap when the caution would come out and set up a green white checker. With that green-white-checkered finish, it would be on between Burton Ward and Marc Lalonde, and going to the 3/4 corner on the first lap Ward and Lalonde would get under Daniels for the lead, and then the race would be onto the checkered and it would see Burton Ward get the win. Then it would be time for the 9th State Cannabis Renegades for there 20 lap event and it would take Josh Terry a short time to get up front for the lead and race with that the race would be on upfront between the family as brother Tylor would be right behind him battling for the win and the win would go to Josh Terry for his second win of the season. Then it would be onto the final division of the Mini Stocks and as normal there would be a pair of features for them on the night with 37 cars in the pits. First up would be there A feature for 15 laps and it would see Brett Manor get the early lead and from there he would hold off the charge from the father/son duo of Caleb and Kenny Tourville for his first career win. Then to finish off the night it would be the Mini Stock B Feature and it would see Steve Bressette charge from his 11th place starting position up to the win after he would be on his lid in his heat race to salvage the night. The Airborne Park Speedway will be back alive this Thursday night June 20th as all divisions will be in action along with it being kid's ride night. Gallery
