The Plattsburgh North Stars quest to repeat as EFL Champions came to end in Amsterdam against the Albany Metro Mallers with a 29-14 defeat. It would be a game that would it fair share of hard-hitting and rain that would play havoc on the game. It was a tight game through the first half that would see the teams deadlocked at 14 at the break. Then the second half the North Stars would have their chances just couldn't get anything to connect. The game would be tight throughout the first half with the Chiefs taking a 27-20 lead into the break. In the end, it would be the tale of two halves as in the second half would steamroll the Huskies and get the convincing 48-27 win and end Malone's unbeaten season.
