Northern Adirondack Conference Boy's Soccer Malone Huskies Vs Potsdam Sandstoners September 11 2012

Malone's Isai Pardons (17) and Potsdam's Marc McAdoo (18) battle shoulder to shoulder for the loose ball along the sidelines. The Huskies would draw first blood on Connor Dailey's header off the corner kick in the 17th minute. That is where the game would remain until Christopher Stoner would tie the game up in the 47th minute on the breakaway. Then in the 52nd minute, Nnaebaka Ononye would get the game-winner. Then Ononye would score in the 78th-minute ice the game and give the Sandstoners the 3-1 victory. In the winning effort Ryan McDonald would have 5 saves and Austin Lamay would stop nine. Malone's Daniel Badgley (21) and Potsdam's Tim Hibbs battle for the ball at midfield going knee to knee and elbow to elbow. The Malone Huskies would fall to the Potsdam Sandstoners 3-1 in the home opener. The Huskies would draw first blood on Connor Dailey's header off the corner kick in the 17th minute. Malone's Brandon Welch (16) takes flight over the sliding Norwood-Norfolk baserunner to continue the double play. The Malone Huskies would defeat the Norwood-Norfolk Flyers 9-8 in dramatic fashion in the bottom of the seventh. The Flyers would open up the scoring with one in the first. Although the Huskies would come back with three in the bottom to take the 3-1 lead. The Flyers would tie it back up with one in the second and third. The Huskie bats would come alive in the fourth with four runs to take the 7-3 lead. Then in the sixth, they would get one more for the 8-3 lead. Then in the top of seventh errors would cost the Huskies as they would allow the Flyers to tie it up at eight. Then at the bottom of the inning is where the Huskies would pull it up on a walk-off single scoring Devan Monette. With the win, the Huskies improve to 13-3 on the season. Gallery.

Malone's Hailey Trim (9) slides in safe at the plate ahead of the tag. The Malone Huskies would defeat the Ogdensburg Blue Devils 7-0. The Huskies would get on the broad in the second to take the 1-0 lead. The bats would come alive in the third though getting four runs. Then they would add single runs in the fourth and fifth to secure the 7-0 win. In the win Annie Sharlow would go the distance allowing only three hits and striking out seven. With the win, the Huskies go to 10-5 on the season. Gallery

Malone's Morgan Fountain (3) tags out the Ogdensburg base runner on the back end of the double play. The Malone Huskies would defeat the Ogdensburg Blue Devils 7-0. The Huskies would get on the broad in the second to take the 1-0 lead. The bats would come alive in the third though getting four runs. Chateaugay's Shelby Coleman (13) slides in safe at second base with the steal under the leaping Whitney Legacy (8). The Malone Huskies would defeat the Chateaugay Bulldogs 10-7 in nonleague action. The teams would trade runs in the opening inning to keep game tied at 1. Then in the second inning the Huskies would answer with three for the 4-1 lead and one in the third for the 5-1 lead. Then in the fourth inning, the Bulldogs bats would come alive for five in the top and in the bottom, the Huskies would score two to take the lead back at 7-6. Then in the sixth the huskies would open it up at 10-6. The Bulldogs last effort would come up short though as they would get one in the seventh for the 10-7 huskies win. In the winning effort, Annie Sharlow would strike out 11 while going the complete game. The Huskies improve there record to 8-4 on the season while the Bulldogs fall to 7-2. Gallery

Chateaugay's Garrett Holmes (17) snags the liner to start the game-ending double play. The Chateaugay Bulldogs would defeat the Tupper Lake Lumberjacks 11-10. The game would go back and forth and the offenses were definitely on display. The Bulldogs would jump quick and quick and take the 3-1 lead after 1. Then in the second, the Lumberjacks would answer back with six for the 7-4 lead. Then in the third Bulldogs would come back with five for the 9-7 lead. Then the teams would settle down the rest of the way and Bulldogs would hold on for the 11-10 victory. In the winning effort Garret Labare would strike out 8 in 5.2 innings of work.
