Ausable Valley Patriots Vs Plattsburgh Hornets - September 13th 2019
Plattsburgh's Ovois Foster (32) with the pass tip on the ball intended for Ausable Valley's Louis Rivera (3). It would be week 2 of the Champlain Valley Athletic Conference season and we would have the Ausable Valley Patriots traveling to the Plattsburghs Hornets. It would be home opener for the Hornets The Hornets would get the opening score of the game 3:39 in on a Ian Detuello 1 yard run for the 7-0 lead. The game would stay there til 12 seconds into second quarter when Jayvon Carpenter would break out a 30 yard run for the 14-0 lead. The Patriots would cut the lead in half on Nate Doner's 7 yard with 3 minutes left in the half to make it 14-7. Although the Hornets would march down the feild and Ian Detuello would score again on a 3 yard pass to make it 21-7 to end the half. When the teams came back for the second half the defenses would step up and there would be no scoring. So the Hornets would get the 21-7 victory and go to 1-1 while the Patriots fall to 0-2 on the season. Gallery.
Moriah Vikings Vs Saranac Chiefs - September 7th 2019
Saranac's Bryce Smith (7) with the catch along the sidelines and breaks tackle for extra yards. The Saranac Chiefs would host the Moriah Vikings in the opening saturday of the Champlain Valley Athletic Conference season. The Vioings would get 6-0 lead on Maddox Blaise 3 yard run in the first quarter. Although the Chiefs would answer right back with a 34 yard touchsown pass to Bryce Snith. The Vikings would regain the lead on the Deihl touchdown pass at 12-6 and take lead into the half. In the second half the rain would be coming doing at a good clup making it diffcult for both teams. The Chiefs would tie the game up midway through the third quarter with a pass to Connor Recore. In the fourth quarter Bryce Smith would get an interception and return it for a touchdown for the 20-12 lead and win. In the winning effort the Saranac Chiefs start the season at 1-0 while Moriah Vikings start at 0-1. Next week it will be the battle Saranac's with the Chiefs and Red Storm while Vikings get the Indians. Gallery.
Beekmantown Eagles Vs Ausable Valley Patriots - September 6th 2019
Beekmantown's Kaden Myers (2) fighting for extra yards and the first down. It would be the opening night of Champlain Valley Athletic Conference and it would feature the Beekmantown Eagles traveling to the Ausable Valley Patriots. The Patriots would get on the board first as they bid for the upset on the Luis Perez 45 yard touchdown pass to take the 6-0 lead with 2:45 left in the first quarter. Then about half way through the second quarter the Eagles would take the 7-6 lead on the Cory McGinnis 39 yard run. When the teams came back for the second half the Eagles would take little time in extending there lead to 14-6 on the Garrett Stevens 19 yard run. Then with just over 4 minutes left in the third the Eagles would extend there lead to 20-6 on the Cory McGinnis 5 yard run. The Patriots would not go quietly as they would score as the fourth quarter started on the Eli Douglas 34 yard pass to make it 20-12. Then just over three minutes later the Patriots would strike again on the Luis Perez 54 yard pass to make it 20-18. Although then with just over two minutes left in the game Kaden Myers would score to make it 27-18 and secure the victory for the Eagles. In the winning effort the Beekmantown Eagles go to 1-0 as they play Ticonderoga next week. As the the Ausable Valley Patriots fall to 0-1 as they will get Plattsburgh next week. Gallery.
#1 Saranac Chiefs Vs #3 Ausable Valley Patriots - October 27th 2018
The Saranac Chiefs pose for there team photo as they are crowned the 2018 Section X Class C Champions. It would be the #1 Saranac Chiefs against the #3 Ausable Valley Patriots in the Section VII Class C Championship. The game would get off to a slow start with the rain and snow as the Patriots would get the only score of the first quarter on a safety at 4:45 for the 2-0 lead. In the second quarter the Chiefs would get on the board and take the 7-2 lead on the 24 yard pass to Jacob Nolan at the 8:26 mark and hold that for the 7-2 lead at the break. When the teams came back for the third quarter the Chiefs would extend there lead to 14-2 on a 42 yard strike to Bryce Smith. In the fourth quarter the Chiefs would get another score from Jacob Nolan for the 21-2 lead. In the closing couple minutes of the game the Patriots would score on the 15 yard pass to Trevor Wilkinson. Although it would not be enough as the Saranac Chiefs get the 21-8 victory and crowned the 2018 C.V.A.C. Class C Champions and will play Ogdensburg next weekend. Gallery.

It would be the #1 Saranac Chiefs against the #3 Ausable Valley Patriots in the Section VII Class C Championship. The game would get off to a slow start with the rain and snow as the Patriots would get the only score of the first quarter on a safety at 4:45 for the 2-0 lead. Champlain Valley Athletic Conference Class D Championship - #1 Moriah Vikings Vs #2 Ticonderoga Sentinels - October 26th 2018

Moriah's Maddox Blaise (4) with the catch in the end zzone for the two point conversion. It would be the traditional Class D Championship for Section VII as the #1 Moriah Vikings would meet up with the #2 Ticonderoga Sentinels for the championship. The game would start of very defensive as the first score would come at 3:41 and Moriah would take the 8-0 lead on Jarin Sargents 22 yard reception. Although the Sentinels would march right down the field and score just over a minute later and make it 8-6 on the Dillon Schlogl score. Moriah would extend there lead 90 seconds later on a 76 yard catch and run by Jarin Sargent for his second score of the game and a 16-6 lead. Then with just under two minutes left in the half the Vikings would score again on Jarin Sargents third touchdown of the quarter this time for 39 yards to make it 24-6. In the second half the Sentinels would try and get back in the game with a score to make it 24-14. Although it wouldn't be enough as the Vikings would get two more scores for the 36-14 victory. With the win the Moriah Vikings go to 7-2 and wait the section II team in the state playoffs while the Ticonderoga Sentinels season comes to an end at 2-7. Gallery

Champlain Valley Athletic Conference Class B Semi-Finals - #2 Plattsburgh Hornets Vs #3 Peru Indians - October 19th 2018

Peru's Austin Carpenter (5) slides into the end zone for the lone Indians score. It would be the Champlain Valley Athletic Conference Class B Semi-Finals featuring the #2 Plattsburgh Hornets and the #3 Peru Indians It would be a defensive battle with both teams going for every yard they can. The Indians would draw first blood on a four-yard run by Austin Carpenter to give them the 8-0 lead with 2:12 left in the first quarter. In the second quarter the Hornets would answer back on a 61-yard pass to Zach Bieber to make it an 8-7 game. Believe it or not, that would be all the scoring the game and the defenses would crank down and not allow another score the rest of the night. With the 8-7 victory, the Peru Indians would improve 5-3 as they head to the championship next week against the Beekmantown Eagles while the Plattsburgh Hornets season comes to end with a 4-4 season. Plattsburgh Hornets Vs Saranac Chiefs - October 13th 2018
Saranac's Luke Garmin (88) reaches back and catches the ball that he tipped to himself for the first down. It would be the final day of the Champlain Valley Athletic Conference season and would feature the Plattsburgh Hornets and Saranac Chiefs. The Saranac Chiefs would take the 7-0 lead at the 7:15 mark of the first quarter on the 8-yard pass to Jacob Nolan. The Chiefs would extend there lead to 14-0 midway through the second quarter on the James Conway 1 yard run. The game would remain there until four minutes left in the third quarter when the Chiefs would extend it to 21-0 on the running touchdown. The Chiefs would get one more like the fourth quarter starter on the Luke Garmin 9 yard pass to secure the 28-0 victory. In the winning effort, the Saranac Chiefs finish the regular season at 6-1 while the Plattsburgh Hornets finish at 4-3 on the season. Gallery.
