The Plattsburgh State Cardinals would host the Potsdam State Bears in the home season finale of the 2022 season in doubleheader SUNYAC action. The first game would remain scoreless until the bottom of the third when McKearin would score on the fielder's choice to make it 1-0. In the bottom of the fourth, the Cardinals would add another single run in the bottom of the fourth on another fielders choice and Langdon would score. In the fifth inning, the Cardinals would get two runs on Palmer's rbi triple and Langdon's rbi single. From there the Cardinals would hold on for the 4-0 win. In the winning effort, Golino would go the complete-game shutout giving up just 1 hit and striking out six as the Cardinals go to 9-14 on the season. After a thirty-minute break, the teams would meet up again for game two of the doubleheader. The second game would start as the first game ended as the Cardinals would get three runs in the first lead by Maggiacom 2 rbi double for the 3-0 lead. In the second inning, they would get another run as Palmer would score on the wild pitch to make it 4-0. In the fourth inning, the Bears would break up the shutout on Brandt's double to make it 4-1. In the sixth inning though the Cardinals would put the game out of reach on a three-run home run by Langdon to make it a 7-1 game and that's where the game would finish. The Cardinals would go to 10-14 on the season as Maggiacom would go the complete game giving up four hits one run while striking out three. The Cardinals will be in action again on Monday as they travel to Oswego to face them in doubleheader action. Gallery

It would be the start of the playoff season at the Ronald B Stafford Arena as the #1 Plattsburgh State Cardinals would host the #4 Potsdam State Bears in the semi-finals of the NEWHL Championship. The home Cardinals would start the game fast and furious in front of the near 400 fans with three goals in the first four minutes of the game from Sara Krauseneck, Ivy Boric, and Annie Katonka and lead 3-0 after the first period. In the second the Cardinals would not let off the throttle as they would light the lamp three more times from Sara Krauseneck (second of the night), Nicole Unsworth, and Annie Katonka (second of the night) and have a 6-0 lead after the second period. In the third period, the Cardinals would add a couple more goals to put the icing on the cake from Kaitlin Drew-Mead and Tatem Cheney and secure the 8-0 win. In the winning effort, Chloe Beaubien would make 25 saves in the shutout victory as they advance to the NEWHL Championship against the Cortland State Red Dragons. Gallery

The Plattsburgh State's would finish off a two-game home series with North Country foe the Potsdam State Bears in NEWHL action. The Cardinals would start off good as they would get two goals in the first five minutes of the game from Annie Katonka and Mae Olshansky for the quick 2-0 lead. Then with six minutes left in the first period on the Emily Dellaneve to make it a 2-1 game. Then just 90 seconds later the Cardinals would regain their two-goal lead at 3-1 on Annie Katonka's second goal of the period. That is where the game would stay till there was 2:45 left in the second period when Annie Katonka would finish off her hat trick game and make it a 4-1 Cardinals game. In the third period, the Cardinals would once again start off fast with two goals in the first five minutes from Erin McArdle and Ivy Boric to make it a 6-1 game. Then halfway through the period, the Bears would add their second goal of the game on the powerplay from Megan Teachout to make it a 6-2. Then with just under six minutes left in the game, the Cardinals would put the icing on the cake with a goal from Tatem Cheney to secure the 7-2 win. In the winning effort, Lilla Nease would make 17 saves on the day as they go to 19-2-1 on the season as they head into their game against Canton on February 15th. Gallery

Plattsburgh State's Thomas Miaia with the lone goal of the game as it goes over the shoulder of the Bears goaltender. The Plattsburgh State Cardinals would host the Potsdam State Bears in the annual teddy bear toss night to benefit the youth of the Plattsburgh area on the battle of the North Country. It would be an ever evenly matched game throughout with many hard-hitting but legal ones as they would have few penalties called throughout the night. There actually would only be a goal scored on the night as the Cardinals would finally light the lamp from Thomas Maia with 5:33 left in the game in front of just over 1700 fans. In the winning effort, Anthony Del Tuffo would make 24 saves for the shutout as they go to 6-4-1 on the season while the Bears fall to 0-8 on the season. Next up for the Cardinals will be a rematch with the Norwich Cadets on December 7th. Gallery

The teddy bears came flying fast and furious as the Cardinals score on the annual teddy bear night to support the local children of the community. The Plattsburgh State Cardinals would host the Potsdam State Bears in the annual teddy bear toss night to benefit the youth of the Plattsburgh area on the battle of the North Country. It would be the first game of the second day of the Cardinal Classic and would feature the Potsdam State Bears and the Cobleskill Tigers. The game would start well for the Bears as they jump out to the 15-10 lead. In the second quarter, the Tigers would fight back and take the slim 24-23 lead at the half with a 14-8 quarter. When the teams came back for the second half the Tigers would stay hot as they would extend their lead to 44-38 with a 20-15 quarter. Although in the fourth quarter the Bears would catch fire with a 23-11 quarter and pull out the win at the end with a 61-55 win. In the winning effort, Xyel Bradford would lead the way with 11 points as the Bears go to 2-1 on the season. Gallery

The games would start out with the defenses being top-notch as the Bears would have a slim 10-6 lead. In the second quarter, the Bears would start to pull away with a 15-8 quarter and take a 25-14 lead into the half. When the teams came back for the second quarter the Bears came back with their offense as they would be on fire with a 25-7 quarter and pull away with a 50-21 lead. In the fourth quarter, the Bears would stay on the gas with a 22-10 quarter and secure the 72-31 victory. In the winning effort, Madison McCormick would lead the way with 16 points as they even the record at 1-1 on the season while the Cadets are now 0-2 on the season. Gallery
