The Bulldogs would need fours sets to get by the Blue Bombers (25-5,23-25,25-14,25-19. With the win the Bulldogs would advance to the Quarterfinals of the New York State Tournament and Arygle. It would be the quarterfinals of the New York State Class D Volleyball and would feature the Chateaugay Bulldogs from section X and the Mayfield Panthers from section II. The Bulldogs would take the 1-0 lead by winning the opening the set. Although the Panthers would come back with a fury and win the next three games and win the match 3-1. The #19 Chateaugay Bulldogs would meet up with #16 and defending state champions Haldane Blue Devils in there opening match of the final four. The Haldane Blue Devils would show why they are defending champions they would win both sets 25-11 and 25-9. With that result in the Bulldogs would start there run at 0-2 and 21-2 on the season.
