It would be the last non-conference game of the schedule as the Plattsburgh State Cardinals would host the Russell Sage Gators in Men's Lacrosse action. The game would start off good for the home Cardinals as they would have a 5-2 lead after the first quarter on the strength of goals from Stephen Kane, Kyle Rutland, Andrew Braverman, Zach Gill, and Donald Woods. In the second quarter, the Cardinals offense would come alive with a 7-0 quarter and take a 12-2 lead into the lockerroom on goals from Max Burgio, Donald Woods (second & third), Zach Gill (second & third), and John Eiseman (one & two). When the teams returned for the third quarter the Cardinal's offense would stay hot with a 5-2 quarter and take a 17-4 lead into the final quarter on goals from John Eiserman (third), Cam Morin, Donald Woods (fourth), Matt Trypaluk and Logan Vilardi. In the fourth quarter, the cardinals would let off the gas and have a 4-1 quarter on goals from Logan Jones, Zach Derhak (one & two), and Ryan Weaver as the Cardinals would secure the 21-5 lead. In the winning effort, the Cardinals would combine for 12 saves as they would go to 3-9 on the season. Gallery

It would be the last nonconference game of the schedule as the Plattsburgh State Cardinals would host the Russell Sage Gators in Men's Lacrosse action. The game would start off good for the home Cardinals as they would have a 5-2 lead after the first quarter on the strength of goals from Stephen Kane, Kyle Rutland, Andrew Braverman, Zach Gill, and Donald Woods. The Plattsburgh State Cardinals would return home after a few weeks away and play the rival Oswego State Lakers in SUNYAC action. The game would not start off good for the Cardinals as the Lakers would shut them out in the first quarter with a 6-0 quarter on the strength of a pair of goals by Corey O'Connor. In the second quarter, the Cardinals would get on the board but the Lakers would win the quarter 5-3 with Cardinal goals by Stephen Kane (twice) and John Eiseman but would trail at the break 11-3. When the teams would return for the third quarter the Lakers would stay on top with a 5-2 quarter with John Eiseman (second and third of the night) and the Cardinals would trail 16-5 as they go to the fourth quarter. In the fourth, the Cardinals still had no with a lakers 3-2 quarter scoring for the Cardinals again would be Kane and Eiseman. Although it would not be enough on this day as the Cardinals fall to 2-7 on the season and will be back in action on April 5th as they take on #15 St. Lawerence. Gallery

It would be the season opener for the Plattsburgh State Cardinals lacrosse team as they would host north country opponent the Canton Kangaroos in nonconference action on a windy afternoon at the Plattsburgh State Fieldhouse. The game would start off good for the home Cardinals as they would have a 4-2 lead after the first quarter with goals from Stephen Kane (twice), Zach Gill, and Donald Wood. In the second quarter, the Cardinals would start to take control of the game with a 4-0 quarter on goals from John Eiseman (twice), Michael Swift, and Matt Trypaluk for an 8-2 Cardinals lead at the intermission. When the teams came back for the third quarter the Cardinals firepower would be there as they would have a 7-1 quarter on goals from Stephen Kane (a third of the night), Andrew Braverman, Matt Trypaluk (second of the night), John Eiseman (a third of the game), Logan Vilardi, Gustav Rugg and Zach Gill (second of the game) and take a controlling 15-3 lead into the fourth quarter. In that fourth quarter, the teams would tie with three goals each, and scoring for the Cardinals would be Michael Swift (second of the night), Stephen Kane (fourth and fifth of the game) as the Cardinals get the 18-6 win. In the winning effort, Zach Gill would lead the way with seven points in the game on two goals and seven assist as the Cardinals start their season at 1-0 and will head to the road this weekend to take on the Norwich Cadets. The Plattsburgh State Cardinals celeberate on the feild as Brett McClelland gets the game winner in overtime. The Plattsburgh State Cardinals would fellow north country foe the Clarkson Golden Knights in non conference action. The game would be stragertic match up as both were looking for the edge throughout the game. The Cardinals would take 1-0 lead at the 6 minute mark of the 1st quarter of Joey Kramer's goal. The Golden Knights would tie it up at the 10 minute mark of the first quarter on Mark Nortz's goal. Then just 30 seconds the Cardinals would regain h lead on Brendan Damm's goal to make it 2-1. The Golden Knights would tie the game back up with two minutes left in the first on Jeff Sceria's goal to make it 2-2 after one. Three minutes into the second the Cardinals take the lead back on Tom Duggan's goal at 3-2. The just a minute later the Golden Knights tie it back up at 3-3 on Jack Dowst's goal. The Golden Knights would take there first lead of the game at the 7:30 mark of the second quarter on Brendon Sherin's goal and take the 4-3 lead into halftime. The Cardinals would tie it back up just two minutes into the third period on Joey Lramer's second goal of the night. Then with under 5 minutes left in the third Brett McClelland would score to regain the Cardinals lead at 5-4. Then Brett McClelland would strike again just 1:30 for his on the day and make it 6-4 Cardinals. The Golden Knights Mark Notz would score his second of the night 2:30 into the fourth to make it 6-5. Then with just over 5 minutes left the Golden Knights would tie the game at 6 on Corey Herrington's goal. With just over three minutes left the Cardinals regain the lead on Tim Lawerence's goal at 7-6. The Golden Knights would tie it right back up on Brendon Sherin's second goal of the game to force overtime. In the overtime Brett McClelland would send the home team and crowd home happy with the game winner at 2:09 of overtime for the hat trick on the day. In the winning effort Cardinals goalie Gordie Gehring would make 11 saves as the Cardinals go to 8-1 on the season. The Cardinals return to conference play March 30th against #1 Cortland State. Plattsburgh State's Will Hockenjos (10) splits through of Cortland State's defenders. The Plattsburgh State Cardinals would host fellow SUNYAC team and number 1 team in the country Cortland State Red Dragons in conference action. The Red Dragons would jump out to the quick 5-1 lead after the first quarter with the lone Cardinals goal from Joey Kramer. In the second quarter the Cardinals would do there best to get back in it and tie the Red Dragons at 8 at the break. Scoring for the Cardinals in the second quarter would be Joey Kramer (twice), Tom Duggan, Tim Lawerence (twice), Nick Travers and Brett McClelland. The game would remain tied at 10 as the teams went into the fourth scoring for the Cardinals were Tom Duggan and Tim Lawerence. In the fourth quarter the Red Dragons would prove to be to much as theu would outscore the Cardinals 5-2 and get the 15-12 win. For the Cardinals Joey Kramer and Brendan Damn would get goals in the fourth. In the losing effort Gordie Gehring would stop twelve shots as the Cardinals fall to 8-2 on the season. Gallery

In the SUNYAC finale, the Plattsburgh State Cardinals would defeat the Brockport State Golden Eagles 10-9 in double overtime. The first quarter would belong to the Golden Eagles as they would lead 5-1 after the first. From there on the Cardinals come storming back to get the game-tying goal with under three minutes left in the game. Then in the second overtime, Tommy Kilderry would get the winner to send the Cardinals home happy. With the win, the Cardinals improve there record to 10-5 on the season. Gallery

The Plattsburgh State Cardinals would have their home opener against a fellow north country foe the Clarkson Golden Knights as they were looking for there first win of the season. The game would not start good for the home Cardinals as they would trail 4-1 after the first quarter with the lone goal coming from Daniel Bonafede. In the second quarter, the Cardinal would find there offense although it still wouldn't be enough as they lose the quarter 6-4. Scoring for the Cardinals would be Kieran Rowley, and Dillon Smith (three) and trail 10-5 at the break. When the teams came back for the second half the defenses on both teams would take control of the game as it would be 4-1 Knights in the half with the lone cardinal foal from Robert Braceland as the Cardinals fall 15-6. In the losing effort, Dillon Smith would score three times as they fall to 0-2 on the season. Gallery.
