In the fourth inning, the Nighthawks would break the game wide open as they would explode for a 12-run inning and take a 16-0 lead. Then in each of the last two innings, they would get two more runs each while the Eagles would avoid the shutout with a single run in the seventh inning as the Knighthawks would get the 20-1 victory. It would be a low-scoring game to get going as the Knights would have an 8-2 lead after the first quarter. In the second quarter, the Knights would start to find their stride as they would have a 12-2 quarter and expand their lead to 20-4 at the intermission. When the teams came back for the third quarter the Knights would stay hot with a 13-2 quarter and have a 33-6 lead as they headed to the fourth. In the fourth quarter, the Knights would back it down with the game outcome already determined with a 4-2 quarter and secure the 37-8 win.
