Plattsburgh State's Will Hockenjos (10) splits through of Cortland State's defenders. The Plattsburgh State Cardinals would host fellow SUNYAC team and number 1 team in the country Cortland State Red Dragons in conference action. The Red Dragons would jump out to the quick 5-1 lead after the first quarter with the lone Cardinals goal from Joey Kramer. In the second quarter the Cardinals would do there best to get back in it and tie the Red Dragons at 8 at the break. Scoring for the Cardinals in the second quarter would be Joey Kramer (twice), Tom Duggan, Tim Lawerence (twice), Nick Travers and Brett McClelland. The game would remain tied at 10 as the teams went into the fourth scoring for the Cardinals were Tom Duggan and Tim Lawerence. In the fourth quarter the Red Dragons would prove to be to much as theu would outscore the Cardinals 5-2 and get the 15-12 win. For the Cardinals Joey Kramer and Brendan Damn would get goals in the fourth. In the losing effort Gordie Gehring would stop twelve shots as the Cardinals fall to 8-2 on the season. Gallery

The game would remain scoreless until the third inning when the Huskies would erupt with six runs. The game would remain there until the 5th when the Huskies would get five more and make it 11-0. Then in the sixth, the Huskies would finish off the game with four more to get the 15-0 victory in six. Leading the way for the Huskies offensively was Morgan Fountain who went 2-3 with 2 RBI's On the mound Abby McCauley would get the complete game shutout victory while striking out eight. The Chateaugay Bulldogs would host the St. Regis Falls Saints in Section X East Division doubleheader action. In the first game, the teams would each get three to have it tied at 3. The Bulldogs would get a single run in the fourth to make it 4-3 Bulldogs. Then in the fourth, the Bulldogs would get two more to make it 6-3. In the fifth, the Saints would do there best to make a comeback it would fall short though as they would make it 6-5 Bulldogs take game one. In the second game, the Saints would get out to the 1-0 lead after the first. Then in the second inning, the Saints would get four while the Bulldogs would get one to make it 5-1. Then in the third, the Bulldogs would get two more to make it 5-3. Then in the fourth, the comeback would be complete as they would get four more to take the 7-5 lead. Then in the fifth, they would get three more while the Saints could just mustard one as the Bulldogs would get the 10-6 win. With the win, it would give the Bulldogs a sweep on the day and give them a 4-6 record on the season. Gallery

Heath Allen (Brudhton) aboard the 3 Determination gets the wire to wire win in the fifth race over Scott Renz and Taste of Magic in the 2-year-old Trotters race. The New York County Fair Racing Series would return to the Franklin County Fair for the there second day of three days of racing. It would be another full card of racing with 11 races on the day. Many of the races would come right down to the wire. There would be a good crowd on hand to watch the racing. Gallery

North Country's Thomas Barnes (15) takes the hit in flight as goes in for the layup and gets the and 1. The North Country Community College Saints would take on the Finger Lakes Community College Lakers in NJCAA Region 3 action. This would be a very high pace up and down game and would be tight throughout. The Saints would trail by a score of 39-31 at the intermission. In the second half the Saints would do there best to keep it a game stay close but they would fall short and lose 79-73. Leading the way for the Saints would be Michael Boyea and Matthew Gullotta as the Saints go to 2-3 on the season. Gallery

Malone's Rachel Lamica (2) with the spike by Chateaugay's Kylie Hanley (35) to the back for the point. The Chateaugay Bulldogs would host the Malone Huskies in a battle of the unbeaten. The Bulldogs would definitely be the better dog on this day as they would get the straight-sets win (25-11, 25-17, 25-18). The story of the game would be the Bulldogs' netplay and their teamwork as they move to 5-0. Gallery

Beekmantown's Justin Stevens (22) lays up off the window for two on the breakaway. It would be the first game of the 2013 edition of the Section 7/10 Challenge with the Beekmantown Eagles and the Brushton-Moria Panthers facing off at Plattsburgh. It would be a tight game for most of other than a run that the Eagles went on in the second half extending it to a 17 point lead. The Panthers would do there best to come back although it would fall short. As the Eagles would get the 56-49 victory with the win the Eagles fo to 2-4 while the Panthers fall to 3-3 on the season. The Saranac Chiefs would host the Tupper Lake Lumberjacks in a nonleague match at the Plattsburgh State Field House. The Chiefs would take the 1-0 at the 4:45 mark of the first Kevin Fisher's goal. Then with just over a minute left in the first the Chiefs would extend the lead to 2-0 Jacob Lillendahl's goal. Then in the first minute of the second period the Lumberjacks would get on the board on Elliott Fletcher's goal to make it 2-1. That is where the game would stay til the 12:45 mark when Tupper Lake would tie it up on the power-play goal by Chase Bedore. Then just 20 seconds later the Chiefs would take the 3-2 lead with Kevin Fisher's second goal of the night. Then at the 6:06 mark of the third the Chiefs would make it 4-2 on Tristan Archambault's goal. Just over two minutes later the Lumberjacks would get back within one at 4-3 Elliott Fletcher's second goal. Then in the last minute of the game the Chiefs would put the game out of reach on Kevin Fisher's third of the night. With the win the Chiefs go to 1-3-1 while the Lumberjacks fall to 0-6-1 on the season. Gallery
