Airborne Speedway/Hockey Plus Padres Matt Rivers (88) connects on the pitch in the bottom of the seventh inning for the walk-off grand slam as the Padres beat the Plattsburgh Cardinals 4-1. In-game two of the doubleheader the Padres get 1 in the first Cardinals would come back in the second to tie it at one. Then throughout the next few innings the Padres would add to there lead to complete the sweep of the Cardinals with a 6-2 win. With the sweep, the Padres move back 500 at 6-6 as they host the Fourth Ward Timberjaxxs. It wouldn't be enough on this though as the Padres would get swept in the twin bill 8-3 in game 1 and 18-13 in game 2. The opener would be tight through the first five innings until the Expos exploded for 5 runs. In-game two the slugfest was on as it the Padres would actually lead 11-10 after 2 innings the Expos would rally for the win though. Both games of the doubleheader would be scoreless until the late innings. In the first game, the Cardinals would get two in the fifth and four in the sixth as they would get the 8-1 win. In the second game, the Cardinals would get three in the fifth inning to get the 3-0 win and sweep the Padres.
