The Plattsburgh North Stars would travel to Watertown to take on the Red & Black in there first ever Empire Football League Championship game. In a game that would be one of the best for the league championship, the North Stars dream season came to end with a 6-0 loss to the Red & Black. The game was a great defensive battle neither them willing to give an inch unfortunately for the North Stars they blinked once with 6 minutes left in the opening half giving Watertown the only score of the game. The Plattsburgh North Stars traveled north of the broader to tangle Quebec Titans in the semi-finals of the Empire Football Playoffs. In a game that would see the North Stars never trail it was a very physical contest with both teams playing stellar defense. The game was so good that players decided to play an extra quarter. The North Stars would prevail in the extra stanza with a 22-19 and the celebration was on. With the win, North Stars will travel to Watertown to take on the Red & Black for the league championship on October 10th at Alex Duffy Fairgrounds with a 7:30 kickoff. The North Stars will be avenged a regular-season defeat by the Red & Black. There will be history made that night either way as the North Stars go for there 1st ever league title and the Red & Black are looking for there 1st title in 30 years. Gallery

The Plattsburgh North Stars entered the playoffs as the #3 seed and would host the #6 Massena Silver & Black in the opening round of the playoffs. In a game that was never in doubt, the North Stars would advance with a 42-6 win and travel to Chateaugay on October 3rd to take on the #2 seed and Empire Football League champions Quebec Titans for the right to go to the championship. There were a few records that were set during the game as Brandon Keleher #40 (pictured) would become the second North Star in history to run for over 1,000 yards in a season. Along with Kenny Stay setting a team record with six touchdown passes and Matt St. Clair with 4 touchdown reception. Gallery

The Plattsburgh North Stars got back to winning ways with a 13-0 win over rival the Vermont Ice Storm. With the win, the North Stars improve to 7-2 in the Empire Football and 9-2 on the season. The North Stars now control their own faith heading into the last week of the regular season at the Quebec Titans in hopes of getting the no.2 seed in the playoffs and the all-important 1st round bye. The undefeated #16 Plattsburgh North Stars traveled over to Watertown to take on the Watertown Red and Black in a game that could be a preview of the EFL Championship in mid-October. The Red and Black came in looking to avenge their loss last week to Quebec. In a game that was high in intensity and hard-hitting. It would be the Red and Black that would come away with the 21-0 win and now tied at the top EFL standings with the North Stars at 6-1.
