The Meron's/Renzi Expos finished of Hockey Plus/Loreman's Padres with an 11-0 win in game 2 of the best of 3 series. With the win the Expos advance to the championship starting next weekend August 23rd at Lyon Mountain against the defending champion Miners. With the loss, the Padres season will come to end and will finish the year at 14-9 and will be looking to go after the championship next summer as most of the players will be returning. The Adirondack Truck and Tractor Pullers Association made there final stop on the 2009 campaign with the Tractor pull edition at the Essex County Fair in Westport, NY. There would be over 50 competitors from all northern new york and Vermont. With the season titles all but looked up before the event. The pullers were for bragging rights to say I won the last hook of the season and all the great fans at the fair. The Adirondack Truck and Tractor Pullers Association returned to Westport, NY for the Essex County Fair Truck Pull. There would be five street legal classes along with two 4x4 truck classes. There would be a decent crowd all night long with many people coming and going throughout the show. The annual truck and tractor pull returned to the Franklin County Fair in Malone, NY for there all-day show. There would be 23 different classes that would run until late at night. There were a few drivers that pushed their equipment just too far for the big crowd and have some breakage. Pictured is Ralph Otis and White Lighting (Westville, NY) in the 4x4 truck class and he is on a power drive for a third-place finish. Gallery

The annual demolition derby returned to the Franklin County Fair in Malone, NY in front of another packed grandstand. There would be 90 cars that would take part in the second night of derby action. The good ole boys with the general lee cars would be champion. Pictured is car #15 that instead of hitting the other and moving on to the next one rides right down the side of the car. Gallery
