The Saranac Lake Red Storm celebrated their 51-44 victory over the Beekmantown Eagles in the second game of the Champions Challenge. It would be the second evening game from the Clinton Community College gym, featuring the Beekmantown Eagles and the Saranac Lake Red Storm in the champions challenge. The Red Storm would jump out to the lead after the first quarter as they would double up the Eagles at 16-8 lead. In the second quarter, the Eagles would start to chip away at the deficit as they would win the quarter at 12-9, but the Red Storm would keep their lead at 25-20. When the teams returned for the third quarter, the Red Storm would start to take control of the game as they would have a 15-6 quarter and take the 40-26 lead as they enter the fourth quarter. In the fourth quarter, the Eagles would do their best to get back in the game, but the deficit would be too much as they won the quarter 18-11, but the Red Storm would hold on for the win at 51-44. The winning effort for the Saranac Lake Red Storm would go to 16-7 on the season as Mik Denkenberger would lead the way with 15 points as they head into the New York State Tournament next week.
