Beekmantown's Nolan Latinville (26) with the hard open ice hit on the Storm puck handler at center ice. It would be the second game of the opening day of the Applebee Winter Classic and it would feature the host Beekmantown Eagles and Storm. The game would start off good for the host Eagles DJ Gonyo would light the lamp at the 3:05 mark of the first period for the lone goal of the first. In the second period, the Storm would waste little time tying the game up at the 1:53 mark. The tye would be short-lived as the Eagles would answer back at the 2:59 mark on the Keegan Rodier goal to make it 2-1. The Storm would answer back and tie the game with just under 1:30 left in the game on Dylan Bzdell's second goal of the period. In the third period when the game was starting to look like it was going to overtime Storm's Dylan Bzdell said hold that thought and light the lamp for the third time on the night with just over three minutes left for the 3-2 victory. The Eagles would put up a fiery counter in the closing minutes but wouldn't be enough as the Storm hold on for the 3-2 victory. With the win, the Storm goes to 4-0 on the season and will take on Northeastern Clinton for a chance to win the Applebee's Winter Classic. Gallery.
