The Cardinals would jump out to an early 5-0 lead after the first two innings that they would never give up. They would get one in the first inning and then put up a four spot in the second inning. The Miners would chip away at the lead by getting two in the third and fourth inning. The score would remain that until the seventh when the Cardinals would get a insurance run on a sacfrice fly tp take the lead 6-4. The Cardinals would hold that lead for the rest of the game and take game 1 of the best of three series. They will look to close out the championship next weekend at Bailey Avenue. Gallery

The Airborne Speedway Padres would get a couple of much needed wins as they would gone on to defeat the Timberjaxxs 10-4 and 7-2. In the first the game the Padres would actual trail early 3-1 and then would come back with 9 unanswered runs in the next few innings. The in game two they would take the early 2-1 lead and then get five runs in the 4th innings to secure the victory. With the sweep of the Timberjaxxs they move to 4-10 on the season get themselves out of last place as the Timberjaxxs fall to 3-11. Gallery

The Airborne Speedway Padres would lose both games to the undeafted Lyon Mountain Miners 8-5 in game 1 and 12-6 in game two. It was a tough day out there for Padres that were fighting through extrication as they were losing players for difference reasons through out. The Padres would stay in both games until the late innings when the Miners would pull away with the loses the Padres fall to 2-10 and the Miners improve to 12-0.Gallery

The Padres would contuine there losing streak which is now up to eight games with another couple of heartbreaking loses as in game one they would lose 9-6 after giving up a 8 run inning in the 6th inning. Then in game two they would come up one run short again with a 5-4 defeat in a game that saw them behind 5-0 heading into the 6th they would get two runs in the 6th and another two runs in the seventh and had the game tying run on base. The Timberjaxxs would earn the sweep of the Expos in the doubleheader in a couple of higgh scoring affairs at the hitter freindly park at South Acres. Airborne Speedway Padres Jordan Keysor (27) deliveries the strike from the stretch position. It would be a couple of hotly contest ball games. The Miners would go on to win both games by a count of 6-5 and 14-11 F/9. In the first game the Padres would get the tying run into scoring position but were unable to get him home. Then in night cap it would be slugfest that would see the Padres tie the game three different times but were never able to get that extra run and would lose 14-11 in extra innings. With the games in the books the Miners would stay undefeated at 6-0 and the Padres would remain winless at 0-6.Gallery

Plattsburgh Cardinals base runner slides in safe at second base with the stolen base under the tag of Alex Cole (7).. It was opening day in the Champlain Valley Baseball League (CVBL). As the Airborne Speedway Padres would host the Plattsburgh Cardinals in a double header at Saranac High School. The opening game would be a great game that saw the Cardinals score three runs in the sixth to tie the game and forces extra innings. In the extra innings the Cardinals would get one in the top of the eighth then bottom of the innings the Padres would load the bases with no outs and then Cardinals would get a strike out and then a double play on line drive that was tattooed back up the middle as the Cardinals hold on to the 4-3 win. In the second game the Cardinals would get one in the second as that would be all the needed as they go on for the 4-0 shut out victory. With opening weekend in the books the Padres fall to 0-2 on the season and the Cardinals have the early lead at 2-0. Gallery

The Cardinals would go on to get the sweep of the Blue Devils winning both games by a score of 2-1. Game 1 trhe Cardinals would win in dramatic finish with a walk off single in the bottom of the ninith. Then in the second game it would be a great pitchers duel with the Cardinals the upper hand and improving there record to 5-4 in SUNYAC play. Gallery
