Kart Racing - Week 6
Airborne Park Speedway
July 28th, 2015

Airborne Kart Racing begins with all 6 divisions racing. Junior 1 Rookie Wyatt Dragoon, #54 from Plattsburgh, NY picking up the win and Ryan Bevins, #7 from Colchester, VT with the Junior 1 Pro win. Junior 2 Rookie Feature winner was Joshua Bleaux, #22 from Plattsburgh, NY and Junior 2 Pro Feature winner Tanner Forbes, #29 from Jay, NY. Open Lightweight Feature was Tobias Mason, #77 from Peru, NY and Open Heavyweight Feature Pat Patterson, #9 from Lake Placid, NY.

At the end of the week Wyatt Dragoon pulled away from Colby Waite in the Junior 1 Rookie point standings: Draggoon with 328 and Waite with 310. While in Junior 1 Pro Ryan Bevins pulled away from Nathaniel Guay: Bevins at 319 and Guay at 307 points. In Junior 2 Rookie Ethan Worley pulled away from Ethan Baggs: Worley at 322 and Baggs at 315 points. In Junior 2 Pro Tanner Forbes has a 30 point lead over Brayden Rabtoy: Forbes at 328 and Rabtoy at 298. In Open Lightweight Tobias Mason has a three point lead over Curtis Lamere: Mason at 319 and Lamere at 316 points. Finally Open Heavyweight Pat Patterson pulled away from Alex Laplante: Patterson with 302 and Laplante with 291 points. The highlights are coming soon.

Hometown Heroes Night

Modifieds Danny Sullivan (3) goes side by side with Ryan McClean (69)through turns 1 and 2 as they battle for the second position. It would be hometown heroes night at Airborne Park Speedway along with double points for all divisions. With there being double points on the line you could tell the drivers were putting some extra effort out there to make that championship push. When it was all said and done Kris Clark would win the Mini Modifieds as Dale O'Neil was unable to pass post race tech. In the renegades the winner would be Robert Gordon. Then in the main event the Modifieds winner would be a popular one with the crowd as Danny Sullivan would get his first career modified feature victory. Gallery

After last weeks double feature, Airborne Kart Racing begins with all 6 divisions racing. Junior 1 Rookie Wyatt Dragoon, #54 from Plattsburgh, NY picking up the win and Ryan Bevins, #7 from Colchester, VT with the Junior 1 Pro win. Junior 2 Rookie Feature winner was Ethan Worley, #C4 from West Chazy, NY and Junior 2 Pro Feature winner Tanner Forbes, #29 from Jay, NY. Open Lightweight Feature was Curtis Lamere, #91 from Burke, NY and Open Heavyweight Feature Brian Kentile, #7X from Saranac Lake, NY.

At the end of the week Wyatt Draggoon pulled away from Colby Waite in the Junior 1 Rookie point standings: Draggoon with 273 and Waite with 258. While in Junior 1 Pro Ryan Bevins and Nathaniel Guay are just four points from each other: Bevins at 264 and Guay at 260 points. In Junior 2 Rookie Ethan Worley leads by only 4 over Ethan Baggs: Worley at 264 and Baggs at 260 points. In Junior 2 Pro Tanner Forbes has a 27 point lead over Brayden Rabtoy: Forbes at 273 and Rabtoy at 246. In Open Lightweight Tobias Mason has a two point lead over Curtis Lamere: Mason at 265 and Lamere at 263 points. Finally Open Heavyweight Alex Laplante and Pat Patterson are tied at 247 points. ACT International 500
Airborne Park Speedway
July 19th 2015

battle for lead

PASS Racers Brent Dragon (55) and Joey Doiron (73) battle for the lead in the PASS 200 as part of the International 500. It would be the third edition of the International 500 and this year it would feature the American Canadian Tour and Pro All Star Series in 200 lap races along with the Revstar Slingshots. There would be 44 cars between the two series with some drivers racing in both. The winner for the farthest haul would go to Tate Folgeman who came from North Carolina for the PASS race. There would be some good competition throughout the dayt with tight racing at the top all day long. The drivers were up on the wheel with the big 10,000 to win on the line. When it was all side and done Joey Doiron would win the PASS event. The in the ACT event Nick Sweet would start on the pole and come around for the eventual win to claim the 10,000 Gallery

Plattsburgh North Stars Vs Watertown Red & Black
July 18th 2015

Plattsburgh's Tre Bucci (1) stumbles and falls but recoveries nicely to make the overhead catch. It would be week 2 of the Empire Football League and it would pit a rematch of last years championship as the Plattsburgh North Stars would host the Watertown Red Black. The game would start go the North Stars as Harry Rascoe would connect with Tory Bouyea for a 62 yard score to make it 7-0. Then with four minutes remaining in the quarter Watertown's Curtis Dukes would get the running score to tie the game at seven. The North Stars would regain the lead with just three minutes left in the half when Tre Bucci would make a juggling catch in the endzone for the 14-7 lead at the break. Then seven minutes into the second half the Stars would score again with Troy Bouyea to make it a 20-7 game. From there on out the defense would shut the Red Black down and the North Stars would hold on for the 20-7 victory. In the winning effort the Plattsburgh North Stars would go to 1-1 on the season as the Red Black fall to 1-1 on the season. Gallery

Monster Truck Mania

Monster Truck Weapon 1 with Matt Cody drivers stands the truck straight up and down with the wheelie in front of the crowd. It would be the 2015 Monster Truck Mania edition with the Black Stallion, Weapon 1, Higher Education, and Overkill Evolution. As part of the show would be Burnout Contest, Reserve Races, Specator Racers and Flagpole races. There would be a good crowd on story that would be entertained with a two hour show. The crowd would be most pleased with the Burnout Contest although the Main Event of evening would be the blown Monster Trucks. Gallery

Battle of Plattsburgh Twin 50's

Mini-Modifieds CJ LaVair (4) and Kris Clark (77ny) drag race to the checkered flag in the first mini-modified feature the win would go to CJ LaVair. It would be week 6 of racing at Airborne Park Speedway and it would be double features for the Mini-Modifieds, Renegades and twin 50's for the Modifieds. There would be some intense racing throughout the evening including a photo finish and lots of three wide racing but for the most part it would be all clean racing. The feature winners on the evening would be CJ LaVair and Kris Clark in the Mini-Modifieds, in the Renegades it would be Tylor Terry and Brent Jarvis. As for the main event the Modifieds it would be Bucko Branham getting the first one with the bump run with 2 laps to go on Danny Sullivan and Vincent Queenville would get the second feature. The racers are off for a couple weeks as the ACT series comes in for a stand alone show. Gallery

Junior 1 Rookie Wyatt Dragoon, #21 from Plattsburgh, NY picking up the win and Nathaniel Guay, #55 from Moors, NY with the Junior 1 Pro win. Junior 2 Rookie Feature 1 and 2 winner was Ethan Worley, #C4 from West Chazy, NY and Junior 2 Pro Feature 1 and 2 winner Tanner Forbes, #29 from Jay, NY. Open Lightweight Feature 1 winner was Brett Jarvis, #32 from Peru, NY and Feature 2 winner was Tobias Mason, #77 from Peru, NY. Open Heavyweight Feature 1 winner Alex Laplante, #08 from Milton, VT and Feature 2 winner Brian Fagan, #27 from Keeseville, NY.

At the end of the double feature action Colby Waite and Wyatt Draggoon are neck and neck in the Junior 1 Rookie point standings: Waite with 218 and Draggoon with 206. While in Junior 1 Pro Nathaniel Guay and Ryan Bevins are just one point from each other: Guay at 211 and Bevins at 210 points. In Junior 2 Rookie Ethan Worley leads by only 3 over Ethan Baggs: Worley at 215 and Baggs at 212 points. In Junior 2 Pro Tanner Forbes has a 15 point lead over Brayden Rabtoy: Forbes at 219 and Rabtoy at 203. In Open Lightweight Tobias Mason has a 5 point lead over Curtis Lamere: Mason at 213 and Lamere at 208 points. Finally Open Heavyweight Brian Fagan has a 9 point lead over Alex Laplante: Fagan at 207 and Laplante at 198 points. The highlights are coming soon.
