Westport Lady Eagles shuts out Johnsburg Jaquars 3-0 in girls MVAC soccer. In the first half, Lizzie Stephens(15) - Westport - would score at 7:13 assisted by Chloe Mitchell(5) giving the Lady Eagles a 1-0 lead. Later on in the first, Taylor Gough(13) - Westport - would score at 27:15; the goal was unassisted giving the Lady Eagles 2-0 advantage. In the second half, Ellie Schwoebel(11) - Westport - scored at 49:19; the goal was also unassisted giving the Lady Eagles the 3-0 win. The Lady Eagles had 6 shots, 4 saves, 5 corner kicks, 5 fouls and 2 offsides. The Lady Jaguars had 4 shots, 3 saves, 4 corner kicks, 5 fouls and 0 offsides. The highlights are available on the video. The #12 Chateaugay Bulldogs would host the St. Regis Falls Saints in Northern Athletic Conference action. The Bulldogs would take the 1-0 lead just 8 minutes into the game on Danielle Charland's goal. Then just a minute later Charland would get her second goal for the 2-0 lead. Then in the 24th minute Alica Cook would strike for the Bulldogs and take a 3-0 lead and into the half. When the teams returned for the second half it would be more of the same as Katie Beach would score in 48th minute to take a 4-0 lead. Then in the 50th minute Danielle Charland would finish her hat trick for the 5-0 lead. Then in the 60th minute Alica Cook would score her second of the night to make it 6-0 and from there on would hold on for the 6-0 win. The Saranac Chiefs would host the the Beekmantown Eagles in Week 4 of the Champlain Valley season. The Eagles would take a 10-0 lead after the first on a touchdown by Justin Stevens and a feild goal. The Eagles would extend the lead to 24-0 at the half on a pair of Tyler Newman touchdowns. When the teams came back for the third quarter the Eagles control would continue with Justin Stevens second and third touchdown to make it 38-0. Then in the fourth quarter the Eagles would get two more scores a interception for touchdown by Brandon Peryea and a running score by Handy to secure the 53-0 victory In the winning effort Justin Stevens would run for 246 yards and three touchdowns as the Eagles go to 3-1 while the Chiefs fall to 0-4 on the season. The #1 Plattsburgh North Stars would host the #4 Glens Falls Greenjackets in the Empire Football League Semi-finals. The North Stars would take the 13-0 lead after the first quarter on a pair of Matt Doucher touchdowns. Then in second quarter Matt Doucher would get his third touchdown of the night along with a kick return for a touchdown. The Greenjackets would get on the board with an interception return to make it 29-7 at the half. In the second half the North Stars would pick up right where they left off as Matt Dourcher would add two more scores and Dexter Goeghan would get one as the North Stars cruise to the 53-14 victory. In the second half Baily Vanness(8) - Keene - scored at 45:50 assisted by Hannah Whitney(11) to make it 2-0. Later on in the half Whitney would score at 22:34 assisted by Sydney Jennette(14) to give the Beavers a 3-0 win. The Lady Beavers had 14 shots, 8 saves, 4 corner kicks, 6 fouls and 1 offsides. Then in the 2nd minute of overtime Reid Laplante would score the lone goal of the game with Nick Ashline picking up the assist. Elizabethtown/Westport Griffins would defeat NAC Bobcats 2-1 in MVAC action. In the first half, Joel Morris(9) - Griffins - would score at 12:51 assisted by Isaiah Turner(3) to give the Griffins a 1-0 lead. Later on in the half, Turner(3) would score at 16:32 assisted by Morris(9) to give the Griffins a 2-0 lead. NAC would get on the board by Cory Lafountain; the goal was unassisted to cut the lead to 2-1 but it wasn't enough as the Griffins would hold on and win 2-1. The Griffins had 17 shots, 8 saves, 15 corner kicks, 9 fouls and 4 offsides. The Bobcats had 12 shots, 14 saves, 2 corner kicks, 8 fouls and 2 offsides. Then in the 50th minute the Bulldogs would extend the lead to 2-0 on Alica Cook's goal. Then in the 67th minute the lead would go to 3-0 on Katie Beach's goal. Then to finish of the game the Bulldogs would add one more to secure the 4-0 win in the 78th minute Kayley Whyte's goal. There would be a total of nine teams at the tournament. The nine teams at the tournament would be Chateaugay, Saranac, Lake Placid, Ogdensburg, Plattsburgh, Northern Adirondack, Au Sable Valley, and Peru. The Chateaugay Bulldogs would go 13-3 only losing single games Peru, Saranac and Ogdensburg. With the 13-3 record the Bulldogs would finish second on the day behind the winners the Peru Indians. The Vikings would jump out to a quick 21-0 lead after the first quarter with some help from some untimely turnovers from the Chiefs. In the second quarter it would be more of the same as the Vikings would get three more to make it 33-0 at the half. In the second half the Chiefs would actual step up the defense and win the half 22-7. There scores would come from Dillan Clay, Caiden Goodman, and George Miller. The final score would end up being Vikings 40 and Chiefs 22 as the Chiefs fall to 0-2 and Vikings go to 2-0 on the season. Gallery

Plattsburgh's Jim Carlson (2) wraps up the Watertown running back looking to get to the open field for the big gain. The Plattsburgh North Stars would host the Watertown Red Black in a battle for first place and home field in the playoffs. The game would start off good for the North Stars as Jake Pereve (4) would run back the opening kick 88 yards for the 7-0 lead. The game would stay there til the second quarter when the Red Black would tie the game up at seven. Then in the third quarter the Red Black would score to make it 14-7 Red Black. Then early in the fourth the Red Black would make it 21-7 and would think the game was in hand then here would come the North Stars. The North Stars would make it 21-14 on a Harry Racoe score with 8 minutes left. Then with under two minutes the Red Black would have to punt and the North Stars would charge down the field and Brett Boyer would score with 33 seconds left to tie the game at 21 and send it to overtime. In the overtime frame Harry Rascoe would find Jamil McCray in back of the end zone for the winning score for the 27-21. With the win the Plattsburgh North Stars go to 9-2 on the season and win the Empire Football League regular season. Gallery

Later on in the period the Griffins would score 3 more times: 1st a pair of goals by Joel Morris (9) at 36:14 assisted by Colden Blades (17) and again at 38:09 assisted by Issah Turner (3); then Thomas Mero (14) would score at 39:22 assisted by Caleb Denton (8). In the 2nd half the Griffins would add on one more goal by Turner at 47:22 assisted by Morris. It would be an action packed day of racing with Airborne's Sportsman Modifieds, Renegades, Mini-Modifieds, and Late Models along with the Northern Modified Challenge Series and the Modified Racing Series. The Sportsman Modified and Modified Series would be decided coming to the checkered with Jayson Criss winning the Sportsman Modified and Justin Bonsignore winning the Modified Series event. The would be tied till the bottom of the third when Adirondack Archery would score two and take a 2-0 lead. They would add another pair of runs in the fourth to take a 4-0 lead. The Store Tavern wouldnt gibe up though as they would get two runs in the fifth to cut the lead in half at 4-2. The #2 Adirondack Archery and #7 Store Tavern would meet up in game three of the Quarterfinals of the Adirondack Slow Pitch Softball League. The teams would trade runs in the second and be tied at one. In the third inning Adirondack Archery would score two and take a 3-1 lead. In the fourth The Store Tavern would get three and Adirondack Archery would get one and game again be tied at four. Then in the sixth store tavern would get five to take a 9-4 lead. Adirondack Archery would come back in the top of the seventh and tie the game up at 8. Then in the bottom of the seventh Mike Orsmby would end it with a walk off single to give the Store Tavern the 10-9 win.
