Store Tavern's Shane Perotte (2) with the scoop and flip at short to get the force out at second base. The Store Tavern would meet up with the Wendell's/Adirondack Archery in the Adirondack Slow Pitch Softball League. The Wendell's/Adirondack Archery would get off to the quick start with pair of home runs in the first for a quick 2-0 lead. Then in second they would answer again with another pair of runs to extend the lead to 4-0. The game would stay there til the fifth when the Store Tavern would get on the board to make it 4-1. Then in the sixth Wendell/Adirondack Archery would add two more runs for the 6-1 victory. Gallery

Plattsburgh North Stars Vs Glens Falls Greenjackets

Plattsburgh's Marcus Pullman (42) with the tackle on the Greenjacket trying to run it up the middle. The Plattsburgh North Stars would host the Glens Falls Greenjackets with the Mayors Cup on the line. The North Stars would take the quick 8-0 lead when Javon Piccock would run back the opening kick. Half way through the first quarter they would extend the lead to 14-0 on Tory Bouyea touchdown. In the second quarter the would get a pair of scores from Tory Bouyea and Brett Boyer for the 28-0 lead at the half. In the second half the North Stars would go into cruise mode and get one short touchdown from Elisa Parks and secure the 34-0 victory in the winning effort the North Stars would improve there record to 3-1 on the season. Store Tavern Vs After Hours Imaging

After Hours Imaging Eric Dwyer (13) feilds the grounder steps on third and fires across to first to complete the double play. The Store Tavern would meet up with After Hours Imaging in Adirondack Slow pitch Softball League action. The game would remain scoreless until the third inning when both teams would trade runs and the game would be tied at one. In the fourth the Store Tavern would have some issues and After Hours would score six runs and take a 7-1 lead and then add another in the fifth to make it 8-1. In the sixth the Store Tavern efforts would come up short getting just three runs. This would in turn give the After Hours Imaging the 8-4 win. With the win After Hours Imaging goes to 4-6 while the Store Tavern falls to 5-5 on the season. Gallery

The 28x with the hard along the wall of 68 that lifts the passenger side of the car off the ground. The annual demolition derby would return to the Clinton County Fair. There would be around 110 cars spread out over nine heats along with truck heat. The sold out crowd would be treated to good show throughout the day the day that would bring many cheers. There was deffenately some great competition and hard hitting. The winner on the day would come from outside the County in St. Lawrence county to win the main event. Gallery

Red Dog Too

Chris Bullriss and the Red Dog Too carries the front wheels down the track during the Super Farm Tractors class to 299 feet. The Adirondack Truck and Tractor Pullers would make there annually stop at the Clinton County Fair for there truck and tractor pull. There would end up being just over 100 hooks in 20 different classes in front a good crowd. The crowd would get treated to a good show with tractors from New York, Vermont and Quebec having some wild rides and some breakage which always gets the crowd invovled. The next stop for the Adirondack Truck & Tractor Pullers will be the Franklin County Field Days in Highgate, Vermont on August 1 and 2. Gallery

Walter Cheney

Walter Cheney and his 2010 Nissan Titan wins the 5,800ln and takes 2nd in the 6,800lb Stock Trucks. The Adirondack Truck & Tracror Pullers would make there annual return to the Clinton County Fair in Plattsburgh, NY. There would be around 90 competitors on the night that were divided up between eight different classes ranging from Stock Trucks to Cheater Trucks. They would put on a great show in front of a packed house. The winners on the night would be Walter Cheney, Curtis Smith, Eric Labombard, and Dale Labombard in the stock class. Then in the work stock classes it would be Trent Abare sweeping both. Then to finish it off it would be Evan Brannon sweeping the Cheater Trucks. Gallery

Peabody Padres @ Adam's Glass Dodgers

Adam's Glass Kyle Demaruas (10) with the pick from behind second base fires to first for the out. The Peabody Padres would meet up with the Adam's Glass Dodgers in a mid week contest in Champlain Valley Baseball League action. The Dodgers would take the 2-0 lead in the third inning on a pair of RBI singles. Then in the fourth inning the Dodgers would extend there lead to 4-0 lead with another pair of RBI singles. The game would stay there til the sixth inning when the Padres would fight there way back with three runs and make it 4-3 game. Although there efforts would fall short and the Dodgers would hold on for the 4-3 victory. In the winning effort Luis Pepan Matos would go the distance giving up three runs on four hirs while striking out five as the Dodgers finish of the regular season at 9-11 while the Padres fall to 11-5. Store Tavern's Matt Orsmby (13) slides in safe at third under the tag of the third baseman. The Store Tavern would meet up with Geoffery's Pub as part of the regular season in the Adirondack Slow Pitch Softball League at the American Legoin in West Plattsburgh. The Store Tavern would jump on Geofffery's early and often. They would take a 3-0 lead after the first inning. Then in the second inning they would get another couple to extend it to 5-0. Then in the fourth they would really do there damage with eight runs to extend the lead to 13-0. Then in the fifth inning they would put the final touches on it with two runs to secure the 15-0 win in five innings. With the win the Store Tavern goes to 5-4 on the season. Gallery

Peabody's Kalob Drolitte (23) slides around the tag of Jefford Steel's Colin Recore and scores. The Peabody Padres would play Jeffords Steel in non league action at South Acres. Jefford's would jump out quick scoring two runs in the first and second innings for the 4-0 lead. The Padres would get on the board with a single run in the third to make it 4-1. The Padres would claw there way back into the game with a three run fifth to tie the score at four. The Padres would take the 6-4 lead in the sixth on a pair of runs. Although Jefford's Steel would get a pair of there in the seventh to force extra innings. In the extra inning Jefford Steel would scartch across across a run and get the 7-6 victory. Gallery

Shawn Duquette (18) with the pass in the grass on Fitzergarld (5) during the Renegade feature. It would be week 10 of racing at Airborne Park Speedway and it would be the ESPN 101.3 Twin 25's brought to by Whelen. The four divisions that would be racing on that night would be the 358 Modifieds, Late Models, Renegades and Mini Modifieds. The 358 Modified would have a good feature race with Jessey Mueller and Leon Gonyo battling it out for the top spot with the eventual win going to Jessey Mieller. The Late Models would have two features on the night as they were testing for the big International 200 next week with wins going to Bobby Therien and Brandon Atkins. In the renegades feature Brent Jarvis and Jim McKineen battling for the top for most of the race until they would slip up and Shawn Duquette would slide underneath for the win. Then in the mini-modified feature they would have trouble getting going with a few wrecks in the first 5 laps once they would settle down the eventual win going to CJ Lavair. Next week racing is Sunday July 20th with the International 200. Gallery

Store Tavern's Matt Orsmby (13) slides in safe ahead of the tag at the plate by Leroux Fuels Russell (22). The Store Tavern would meet up with Adirondack Slow Pitch Softball Class B leader. The game would see Leroux Fuels jump out to a 5-1 lead in the early innings. Although the Store Tavern would not give up and keep fighting back and would take the lead in the fifth inning and then hold on for the 11-6 Store Tavern win. With the results in the Leroux Fuels would fall to 3-2 while the Store Tavern goes 4-3 on the season. Gallery

Store Tavern's Jason Favaro (3) with the pick at second base and fires one to first for the out. The Store Tavern would meet up with Rick's Knighthawks in the Adirondack Slow Pitch Softball League. The two teams would come in battle it out in the middle of the pack during the early part of the season. The two teams would go back and forth throughout the seven inning affair in the end Rick's Knighthawks would get the 7-6 win. In the end results both teams would have there record at 3-3 on the season. Gallery

Peabody Padres @ Meron's Expos

Peabody's Mark Eggleston (1) makes solid contact on the pitch for one of his four home runs on the day. The Peabody Padres would travel to South Acres Field in Plattsburgh and play the Meron's Expos in Week 7 of the Champlain Valley Baseball League. The Padres would jump out to a quick 3-0 lead in the first inning of game with a rbi single by Jeff Norton and a two run home run by Mark Eggleston. The Padres would extend it to 4-0 Shane Perrotte's RBI single. The Expos would cut the lead in half in the bottom of the second on a pair of RBI singles by Bruno and Woods to make it 4-2. The Padres would extend lead back to 6-2 on Mark Eggleston 2 run homer. The Expos answered back in the third with a two run homer by Mark Passino to make it 6-4. The Expos would tie it up in the fourth on RBI's by Roenback and Bourdeau. The Padres would regain the lead in the fifth on Mark Eggleston's third homer to make it 7-6. Then in the sixth the Padres would put the game away on Mike Rivers home run and secure the 8-6 win. Then it was time for game two of the day. In that second game the Padres would jump on the Expos quick and take 5-0 lead anchored by Chris Markwicka three run home run. Then in second they would add four more runs helped by Jeff Norton's and Mark Eggleston's back to back homers to make it 9-0. Then in the fourth inning the Expos would get on the board helped by Bruno's homer to make it 9-2. Then the Padres would add two more in the seventh to extend it to 11-2. The Expos would try and make a last inning comeback but it would be two much as they would get one run and the Padres would secure the 11-3 win. With the sweep the Padres improve there record to 11-4 on the season and are within striking distance of the first place Cardinals. Gallery

Kris Vernold (97) and Jessey Mueller (19) take it side by side at the bottom of turn one during segement one of the 358 Modified 76. We would be back for another action pack night of racing as part of week nine at Airborne Park Speedway. There would be some great racing throughout the night in the 358 Modifieds, Sportsman Modifieds, Renegades and Mini-Modifieds. Also on hand for the evening would be fireworks after the racing and Jamie Lee Thurston. When it was all said and done on the night Jessey Mueller would win the 358 Modifieds, Mark Lamberton Sportsman Modifieds, Robert Gordon Renegades and Harold LaVair in the Mini-Modifieds. Next week on tap at Airborne Park Speedway would be the 358 Modifieds, Renegades, Mini-Modifieds and twin races for the Late Models. Gallery

Peabody's Shane Perrotte (2) with diving catch in catch rightfield to rob the Adam's Glass Dodgers of a base hit. The Peabody Padres and Adam's Glass Dodgers would meet in a midweek contest as a makeup of a rain from earlier in the Champlain Valley Baseball League. The Padres would take the 1-0 lead in the second inning on a sacrifice fly by Donny Coolidge scoring Matt Hart. The Dodgers would come back in the third with a pair of runs on Kyle McCarthy's 2 RBI double. The game would stay there til the sixth inning when the Padres would tie the game up at two on a Matt Orsmby base hit. The game would go to extra innings and in the eighth inning Frank Brogna would hit a single to knock home Matt Hart and win the game for the Padres In the winning effort Kalob Drollette would go all 8 innings giving up 2 runs on 9 hits and 3 walks while striking out 9 as the Padres go to 9-4 on the season.
