Beekmantown's Greg Manney (32) with the fade away jumper in the corner. It would be the first game of the 2013 edition of the Section 7/10 Challenge with the Beekmantown Eagles and the Brushton-Moria Panthers facing off at Plattsburgh. It would be a tight game for most of other then a run that the Eagles went on in the second half extending it to a 17 point lead. The Panthers would do there best to come back although it would fall short. As the Eagles would get the 56-49 victory with the win the Eagles fo to 2-4 while the Panthers fall to 3-3 on the season. Saranac Chiefs Vs Tupper Lake Lumberjacks

Saranac's Jacob Lillendahl (9) comes in on breakaway and fires it over the shoulder of Tupper Lake's Tyler Nilsson for the goal. The Saranac Chiefs would host the Tupper Lake Lumberjacks in a non league match at the Plattsburgh State Field House. The Chiefs would take the 1-0 at the 4:45 mark of the first Kevin Fisher's goal. Then with just over a minute left iin the first the Chiefs would extend the lead to 2-0 Jacob Lillendahl's goal. Then in the first minute of second period the Lumberjacks would get on the board on Elliott Fletcher's goal to make it 2-1. That is where the game would stay til the 12:45 mark when Tupper Lake would tie it up on the power play goal by Chase Bedore. Then just 20 seconds later the Chiefs would take the 3-2 lead with Kevin Fisher's second goal of the night. Then at the 6:06 mark of the third the Chiefs would make it 4-2 on Tristann Archambault goal. Just over two minute later the Lumberjacks would get back within one at 4-3 Elliott Fletchers second goal. Then in the last minute of the game the Chiefs would put the game out of reach on Kevin Fishers third of the night. With the win the Chiefs go to 1-3-1 while the Lumberjacks fall to 0-6-1 on the season. Gallery

Malone Huskies Vs Saranac Chiefs

Malone's Zach Raymond (20) takes flight in the lane and draws the contact from Saranac's John Mayne (22) for the basket. In the last of five games in the Challenge it would be the Malone Huskies and Saranac Chiefs from the Plattsburgh State Field House. This would be a half court game with defenses stepping up to keep there team in the contest after the first half the Huskies would have 24-19 lead on the Chiefs. In the second half the offenses would find some more space and the Huskies would win the half 33-24 to secure the 57-43 win. With the win Huskies go to 7-1 while the Chiefs fall to 3-4 on the season. Saranac Chiefs Vs Beekmantown Eagles

GOAL

Beekmantown's Nathan Foster (55) came in on the breakaway and flips it over the goaltender for one of his three goals on the night. The Saranac Chiefs would host the Beekmantown Eagles at the Plattsburgh State Field House in a Champlain Valley Athletic Conference match-up. The Eagles would take the early 1-0 lead on Ryan Waterbury's goal at the 5:01 mark. Then with under two minutes left in the period the Eagles would extend it to 2-0 Kyle Bisonette's goal. Then inside the final minute the Eagles would score again with Nathan Foster on the shorthand for the 3-0 lead after one. Then early on in the second period Nathan Foster would get his second goal of the night for the 4-0 lead. Then at the 13:33 mark of the second period the Eagles would take a 5-0 lead on Kyle Bissonette's goal. Then just 1:33 into the third period Nathan Foster would finish off the hat trick for the 6-0 lead. Then at 2:54 of the third period the Eagles would finish off the scoring assault to make it 7-0 on Kyle Bisonette's third of the night. The Chiefs would get a late goal in the third period on a scramble play at front as the Eagles get the 7-1 win. With the win the Eagles go to 3-0 while the Chiefs fall to 0-3-1 on the season. Plattsburgh Hornets Vs Northeastern Clinton Cougars

Northeastern Clinton's Nick Ledue (16) swipes the puck and heads down the breakaway for one of his four goals on the night. The Northeatern Clinton Cougars would travel over to Plattsburgh to take on the Hornets in Champlain Valley Athletic Conference how action. The game would be a offensive show of force. The Cougars would get the first goal from Nick Ladue at the four minute mark of the first. Then at 10:53 mark of the first the Cougars would extend the lead to 2-0 on Colby Boire's goal. Then in the final two minutes of the period the Cougars would make it 3-0 Nick Ladue's second goal of the night. The second period would be a carry over of the first when Mason Letourneau would score to make it 4-0. Finally at the 6:12 mark the Hornets would get on board thanks to Eric Bechard to make it 4-1. Then at the 10:03 mark John Fine Lease would score to make it 4-2 and now we have a game. Just over two minutes later it would be a one goal game with Eric Bechard's second of the night. Then with 15 seconds left in the period the Hornets would tie it up at 4 on Jack Tolosky's goal. The Cougars would retake the lead at 5-4 on Andrew Arless goal. Then just twenty seconds later Nick Ladue would add his third goal of the game to make it 6-4. Then in the closing minutes Ladue would add a fourth goal on the empty netter to secure the 7-4 win. With the win the Cougars go to 2-1-1 while the Hornets fall to 2-2 on the season. Gallery

Chateaugay Bulldogs Vs St. Regis Falls Saints

Chateaugay's Seth Young (3) drives the lane hard and draws the contact on the basket as part of 15 point night. The Chateaugay Bulldogs would host the St. Regis Falls Saints in Section X East Division action. This early season matchup would see the defenses locking both teams down after the first the Bulldogs would have a 8-5 lead. In the second quarter the defenses would still hold tight as the Saints win the quarter 13-7 and took a 18-15 lead at the break. When the teams came back for the third the defenses would still have the upper hand as the Bulldogs win the quarter 9-5 and take the 24-23 lead into the fourth quarter. In the fourth quarter the offenses would finally show up as the Saints win the quarter 20-14 to give the Saints the 43-38 win. With the win the Saints go to 6-0 and the Bulldogs fall to 2-3 on the season. Gallery

Plattsburgh Hornets Vs Niskayuna Mohawks

Plattsburgh's Dean Dashnaw (30) makes the stick save and brings it into the body to stop play. The Plattsburgh Hornets would host the Niskayuna Mohawks in non league action. The Mohawks would strike first with a goal at 2:30 of the first. Then at 5:55 the Hornets would tie the game up at one on Ryan Whalen's goal. The Mohawks would retake the lead at 7:01 on Josh Kim's at 2-1. Then at 10:33 Ryan Whalen would tie the game back up at two with his second of the night. Then in the last minute of the period the Hornets would take the 3-2 lead Eric Bechard's goal. When the teams came back for the second period the Hornets would take the 4-2 lead at 3:36 on Ryan Whalen's third goal of the day. Then just 14 seconds later the Hornets would make it 5-2 Gavin Giroux goal. The Hornets would make it 6-2 at 5:36 on the Wade Weeden goal. Then the Mohawks would get the last two of the period to make it 6-4 after two. Then just 36 seconds into the third period Kurtis Olsen would get into the act to make it 7-4. Then at 4:06 mark of period the Hornets Eric Bechard would get his third of the day to secure the 8-4 win, In the winning effort Dean Dashnaw would make 13 saves as the Hornets go to 2-1 on the season. West Plattsburgh Wolfpack Vs Plattsvegas Packers

Packer's wide reciever with the leaping catch in the endzone for the score. It would be week four of the Indoor Flag Football season in the battle of winless teams West Plattsburgh Wolfpack playing the Plattsvegas Packers. The Packers would dominate the first half and have a 34-14 lead at the break. When the teams returned for the second half the scoring would slow down and the Packers would score to the 52-22 victory. With the Packers go to 1-3 while the Wolpack drops to 0-4. Gallery

Rand Hill Painters Vs Plain White T's

Plain White T's wide receiver with the diving catch in the endzone for the touchdown. In week four of the indoor flag football league the 2-1 Rand Hill Painters would play the 0-3 Plain White T's. The Rand Hill Painters would jump out to the quick 20-0 lead 12 minutes in before the Plain White T's would get two scores to stay in the game at 20-12. Then to end the half the Painters would score twice more to have a 31-12 lead at the break. In the second half the Painters would get three unanswered scores to secure the 53-18 win. With the win the Rand Hill Painters go to 3-1 while the Plain White T's fall to 0-4. Gallery

Panthers' Nick O'Mera with the one hand leaping snag in the endzone for the interception. In week four of the indoor flag football season would season a battle of undefeated Pink Panthers and DB Xtreme. The offenses would take the stage throughout the game and trade shots throughout the first half and the Panthers would have a 34-20 lead at the break. When the teams came back for the second half it would be more of the same as the Panthers would outscore them 40-26 in the half for the 74-46 win. With the win the Pink Panthers stay undefated at 3-0 while the DB Xtreme fall to 2-1-1 on the season. Gallery

Adirondack J's Vs Clinton Gladiators

Adirondack J's Bushey with the leap catch for the interception that he steals from the defender. In week four of the indoor flag football season the 2-0 Adirondack J's would play the 2-1 Clinton Gladiators. In the first half the Gladiators would dominate by scoring three touchdowns for the 21-7 lead. When the teams back for the second the Adirondack J's would settle down and come together to shutdown the Gladiators and out score them 29-14 and get the last minute 36-35 win. With the win the Adirondack J's stay undefeated at 3-0 while the Clinton Gladiators fall to 2-2. Gallery

Goal

Beekmantown's Nathan Foster (55) comes in on net with the shot and scores. The Beekmantown Eagles would host the Niskayuna Mohawks in non league hockey action. The 1st period would be a big one for the Eagles as they would light the lamp five times with five different scores Brandon Buksa, Brendan Davison, Tyler Pepper, Nathan Foster and Kyle Consstanty and have a 5-1 lead after one. In the second period it would be more of the same the Eagles would score just one minute in from Brandon Buksa (2nd of the night to make it 6-1. Then in the 11th minute of the period the Eagles would score twice from Callum Sullivan and Syke Dominy to have a 8-1 lead after two. In the third period the Eagles would add one more from Nathan Hebert at the 10:40 mark to secure the 9-1 win. With the win Eagles go to 2-0 on the season. Gallery

St. Lawerence Larries Vs Canton Golden Bears

St. Lawrence's Holly Zeldenrust (31) makes the glove save on the breakaway and sends it over the top. The St. Lawrene Larries would play the Canton Golden Bears in Malone as part of the Upstate New York Girls Hockey League. The game would remain scoreless until the second period when Canton's Natalie Giglio would score 41 seconds in to make it 1-0 Golden Bears. The Bears would extend there lead to 2-0 on Margret Troiano goal at 6:11. Then in the last minute of the period the Bears would make it 3-0 on Blake Orosz. When the teams returned for the third it would be more of the same as the Bears score 17 seconds in on Mary Kaite Mace goal to make it 4-0. The Larries would keep fighting though and get a goal two minutes left from Paige Debeer to make it 4-1. The Bears would add an insurance marker in the last minute from Blake Orosz second of the night to get the 5-1 win. In the losing effort Larries Holly Zeldenrust would stop 43 as they fall to 0-3 on the season. Gallery

Malone Huskies Vs Norwood-Norfolk Icemen

Malone's Joey Brown (30) with the glove save on the low side attempt. The Malone Huskies would host the Norwood-Norfolk Icemen in Northern Athletic Conference action. The Icemen would get the games first tally 4:52 on Austin Cousineau goal to make it 1-0 Icemen. Then at 6:49 mark of the period the Icemen would strike again on Kaden Pickerings poweplay goal to make it 2-0. Then at 11:56 of the first Kyler Head would score for the Huskies to cut the leaad in half at 2-1. The Icemen would answer back though before the period ended to make it 3-1 Icemen at the end of the first. The Icemen would extend the leaad to 4-1 on Colby Munson's power play goal at 7:17 of the second. Then just 30 seconds later Huskies Josh Trombley would keep them within two at 4-2. Then just 30 seonds into the third period the Icemen would extend the lead to 5-2 Colby Munson second goal of the night. Then at 7:44 Autin Cousineau would get his second of the night to make it 6-2. The Huskies would fight till the end and get a late goal by Jake Henning but the Huskies would fall 6-3. In the losing effort Joey Brown would have 32 saves as the fall to to 2-1 on the season. The Malone Huskies would host the Gouverneur Wildcats in Section X Central Division action. The Huskies would hold the slim 11-8 lead after the first quarter. The game would remain tight at the half with the Huskies having a 23-19 lead at the break. When the teams came back for the third quarter the game would stay tight with the Huskies having a 35-30. Then in the fourth quarter both teams offenses would come alive but the Huskies proved to have enough as they outscored them 22-19 for the 57-49 victory. In the winning effort Malone's Alex Johnson would lead the way with 19 points as the Huskies go to 3-0 on the season. Gallery

#10 Clarksn Golden Knights Vs St. Lawrence Saints

Clarkson's Jarrett Burton (20) rifles the shot to the top shelf for the game tying goal in the third period. The #10 Clarkson Golden Knights would host crosstown rival the St. Lawrence Saints in ECACHL action in front of the third biggest Cheel Arena crowd at 3,965. The Saints would get the first goal of the game on the power-play from Jeremy Wick at 6:30 of the first. The Golden Knights would answer and tie the game up at 9:28 of the first on a TJ Moor power-play goal. The Golden Knights would take the lead at 2-1 on Simon Bessette's goal at 14:25 of the first. Then in the last minute of the first Jeremy Wick would get his second power-play goal of the night to tie the game at 2. That is where the game would stay till the last minute of the second period when the Saints would take the 3-2 lead on Matt Carey's goal. Then at 6:09 of the third period Clarkson's Jarrett Burton would tie the game at three. Then on the power-play Jeff DiNallo would give the Golden Knights the 4-3 lead at 10:57. Then just over 30 seconds later the Golden Knights would extend there lead to 5-3 on Troy Joseph's goal. The Saints wouldn't go quite though as Matt Carey would get his second of the night to make it 5-4 with two minutes left in the game. The Golden Knights would hold on from there for the 5-4 win. In the winning effort Greg Lewis would make 17 saves as the Golden Knights go to 11-3-1 on the season. Gallery

Chateaugay Bulldogs Vs Northern Adirondack Bobcats (JV)

Chateaugay's Emily Dwyer (15) with the lay up in traffic for the basket. It would be the start of the JV season as the Chateaugay Bulldogs would host the Northern Adirondack Bobcats. The Bulldogs would take the early 16-6 lead after the first quarter and not look back. The Bulldogs would extend there lead to 26-15 at the intermission. When the teams came back for the third quarter it would be more of the same as the Bulldogs would win the quarter making it 40-25. Then in the fourth quarter the Bulldogs would just need to cruise as they would secure the 45-35 victory. Chateaugay's Danielle Charland (1) takes flight along the baseline for the layup basket. The Chateaugay Bulldogs would host there neighbors the Northern Adirondack Bobcats in non-league action. The game would start of tight actually as tight as it could get as they would be tied at 10 after the first quarter. In the second quarter the Bulldogs would pull ahead barely as they would have 25-22 lead at the break. When the teams would return for the second half the Bobcats defense would step in the third quarter as the Bobcats would outscore the Bulldogs 17-5 and take the 39-30 lead after three. The Bulldogs would try there best in the fourth to get back in the game but there efforts would come up short and they would fall 48-39 to the Bobcats. Even with the Bulldogs lose Danielle Charland and Abby Barnes would each have 11 points as they fall to 0-1. Gallery

St. Lawrence Larries Vs Beekmantown Eagles

The St. Lawrence Larries would play the Beekmantown Eagles in Upstate New York Girls Hockey in Malone. The game would start out rough for the Larries as they would give up three first period goals. The second period would be more of the same as they would give up another three to make it 6-0. Then in the last period the Eagles would add another two as the Eagles would cruise to the 8-0 win over the Larries. With the lose the Larries fall to 0-1 on the season. The Larries goaltender Holly Zeldenrust would do her best to keep them alive stopping 52 of 60 shots. Gallery

Malone Huskies Vs #15 Ogdensburg Blue Devils

Malone's Bailey Conklin (9) comes in the breakaway late in the third period and slides the puck by Ogdensburg's David Prudhomme (31) from the game winning goal. The Malone Huskies would host the Ogdensburg Blue Devils to get the Section X Hockey season underway. The game would remain scoreless all the way til the third period when Malone's Jake Henning would get the games first goal at 1:10 to give the Huskies 1-0 lead. The game would stay there till the 11th minute of the third when the Blue Devils would tie it up on Jon Taylor's goal. The Huskies would keep scraping though and get the game winner with just over two minutes left when Bailey Conklin would score on the breakaway to give the Huskies the 2-1 win. With the win the Huskies get there season started off right at 1-0. Gallery
