Wheel Stander

Tyler Audett and Pure Breed Red carry the front wheel down the track from 125 feet on eventually digging in at the 302 feet mark for a sixth place in the Super Farm Tractors. The Vermont Tractor Pullers and New York Tractor Pullers would put on a combined show that Champlain Valley Fair. There would be around 40 hooks on the night divided into five classes (VT Mini Rods A & B, Econo 2wd Trucks, Super Farm Tractors and 2.6 Cheater Trucks. There would be a decent crowd on hand and would be entertained to make the with all the smoke and noise and even some breakage. Everyone is looking forward to having them back again next year. Store Tavern Vs Lereux Fuels

Store Tavern's Matt Orsmby (12) with the diving catch in center field to keep his team in the game. The Store Tavern and Lereux Fuels would meet for game two of the best of five series in the first round. The Store Tavern would have to play a man short as they would have an injury in the 1st inning. The teams would trade runs in the first inning both scoring two runs as the game would be tied at 2. Then the rain would come and not quit the rest of the night. That is where the game would remain until the 3rd when Lereux Fuels would score four and the Store Tavern would get three to make it a 6-5 game. Then in fourth inning would score five runs to make it 11-5 in the fifth. The game would be called after the fifth inning do the field being unplayable. With the Lereux Fuel win the series is tied at 1 with game three coming August 28. Gallery

Store Tavern's Jeff Norton (8) with the tag out on Lereux Fuels base runner sliding into third. The Adirondack Slow Pitch League would start there playoffs tonight as the #3 Lereux Fuels would take on the #6 Store Tavern in game one of a five game series. The Store Tavern would take a 1-0 lead in the second. They would extend there lead to 4-0 with three runs in the third. Then in fourth the Store Tavern would get two and Lereux Fuels would get one to make it 6-1. Then in the fifth the Store Tavern would get two while Lereux Fuels would get three to make it 8-4. Then in seventh Lereux Fuels would force extra innings by getting four runs thanks to a three run homer. With the game tied at eight the teams would trade runs in the eigth and ninth to keep the game tied at 10-10. The Store Tavern would finish the game in the tenth as they would score two and secure the 12-10 win. The Store Tavern take the 1-0 lead headed to game two on August 26. Gallery

Store Tavern Vs Northern Cake Redemption

Store Tavern's Kyle Kowolski (9) makes solid contact on the pitch and sends a deep fly to the outfield. The Store Tavern would take on Northern Cake Redemption in the season finale of the Adirondack Slow Pitch League. The Tavern would jump out to a quick 4-0 lead in the first inning and not look back from there. They would another 4 spot in the second to make it 8-0. Then add two runs in the 4th and 5th inning to get secure the 12-1 win. With the win the Store Tavern finishes the season at 9-12 and get the #6 seed in the upcoming playoffs where they play #3 Leroux Feuls in the Qiarterfinals August 22. Gallery

Plattsburgh North Stars Vs Vermont Ice Storm

Plattsburgh's Alec Currier (3) stretches out and puts his hand on the ball and rips it out for the fumble. The Plattsburgh North Stars would face there rivals from across the lake the Vermont Ice Storm in Empire Football League action. It would not take the North Stars long to get on the broad they would score on the opening drive to make it 7-0 on DJ Barber's TD Reception. The Stars would get another one near the end of the quarter on Dexter Geohagan touchdown to make it 13-0. Then in second quarter the North Stars would score twice more Jamil McCray's and Chris Fish's touchdown receptions to make it 27-0 at the half. When the teams would return for the second it would be more of the same. The North Stars would get two more scores one on Harry Rascoe's sneak from the one yard line and Craig Bujold's reception to make it 41-0. Then in the fourth quarter the North Stars would add one more just for good measure as Harry Rascoe would scramble for 40 yards to make it 47-0. The Ice Storm would get one score late to break up the shutout. As the North Stars would cruise to a 47-7 win and go to 5-1 in Empire Football Leagur as they head to Syracuse next week to take on the Syracuse Shock. Gallery

Ellenburg Center Fire Department Car Show

The 1955 Chevy Bel-Air is all shinned up and on display with the hood up so everyone can see the engine work. The Ellenburg Center Fire Department would hold there 3rd Annual Car Show to benefit the Department. There would be a great turn out of cars with 55 showing up. There would also be a great turn out the community to come and see the cars and support the station. The Ellenburg Center Fire Department would like to thank everyone that partipcated and plans are already underway for the 2014 edition. Gallery

Hubtingdon Truck/Tractor Pull (ATPA)

Irving Lyman and his Allis-Chalmers 7045 carries the front wheels down the track to a pull of 340 feet to win the 11,500 stock class. The Huntingdon Fair would have the Adirondack Truck/Traactor Pullers back for the first time in four years. They would put on a great show for the local pullers from Street Trucks, Stock Tractors, Altered Stock Tractors and 4x4 Tractors. The Adirondack sled would start pulling in the earlier afternoon and pull til late night. The would pull just over a 110 hooks on the day to a roaring crowd. The Adirondack Truck/Tractor Pullers are looking forward to making a return trip next year. Gallery

Huntingdon Fair (ASTTQ)

CP Dream II and Charles Pellitier carries the front wheels down the track from about mid track on. The ASTTQ the premier truck and tractor pulling series in Canada would make there annual stop at the Huntingdon Fair. There would be a packed crowd to watch the best pullers across Canada in action. The would bring in the Super Semis, Mini Mods, Modified Trucks, Two Wheel Drive Trucks and the Modified Tractors. They would bring in around 50 pullers to show there talents and there would be some that would break expensive parts on the very tacky track. The ASTTQ will be sure to come back next year. Gallery

Irving Mauran (Westport) and Logan Runn wins the sixth race in a photo finish over Causeway Giant with Scott Renz (Bloomsburg, PA) in the Leo LaPage Memorial. It would be last of three days of racing at the Franklin County Fair. There would be 8 races on the card with three of them being memorial races. There would be another good crowd in attendance. Andy Gardner would be named the driver of the week for his stellar performance over the three days. Gallery

Andy Garner (Constable) aboard the 4 of Isabelle's Bliss takes the win in Race 2 of the 2 year old pacers over Kevin Gale (Moria) and On the Rise (5) coming down the stretch. The New York County Fair Racing Series would return to the Franklin County Fair for there second day of three days of racing. It would be another full card of racing with 11 races on the day. Many of the races would come right down to the wire. There would be a good crowd on hand to watch the racing. Gallery

Tonny Petersen and Jumping Joe go side by side over the ramp down the front-stretch. Tonny Petersen and his Hell-drivers returned to the Franklin County Fair in Malone after a near 5 year hiatus. They would take there Dodge cars/Trucks and show off there skills behind the wheel at high speeds and close corners. There would be crash aspect as they would take out the junk cars and roll them over launch them in the air and hit other cars. There would be a near full crowd that would be on the edge of there seats throughout the show and looking for them to come back next year. Gallery

Jonathan Myers in his 2009 Chevy Silverado sends smoke skyward in the 2.6 Cheater Trucks and finish top 3 at around 300 feet. The Franklin County Fair would try something new this year and have there street truck and antquie tractor pull on a seperate night and they would get around 100 enteries in fifteen classes. There would be a good crowd in attendance for a first time event and does show promise for next year. Gallery

Amanda Ashline (5) hits Rachel Guyton (15) with the back end of her car hard into the front of Racel Guyton's car and rides up onto the hood of the car. It would be time for the annual demolition derby at the Franklin County Fair in Malone. There would be a 100 cars divided up into 8 heats from 4 cylinders up to the mighty 8 cylinders along with the girls heat and the popular truck heat. The eventual winner would be Joey Foster from Potsdam. There would be plenty of crowd pleasing moments to keep the crowd there from start to finish. Gallery

The Adirondack Truck/Tractor Pullers make there annual stop at the Franklin County Fair in Malone, NY for the truck and tractor pull. There would be around 120 hooks divided up into 21 classes. There would be a good size crowd in attendance in mist of the rain that would hold the show up a couple times. There would deffenately be some crowd pleasing moments through out the night. Gallery

Ma and Pa's Headache with Pat Silver on a power pass digging in past the 300 foot mark for a top three finish in the 4x4 Truck class. The Adirondack Truck/Trator Pullers make there annual trip to Highgate for the Franklin County Fair. There would be a record in attendance with over 6,500 to see the stock trucks, work trucks, 2.5 Cheater Trucks and 4x4 Trucks there would be 99 enteries in the seven classes on the night. Gallery
