Store Tavren's Matt Ormsby (12) with the diving catch in center field to save extra bases. The Store Tavren would take on Handy Dan Home Improvement in the Adirondack Slow Pitch League at the West Plattsburgh Legion. Handy Dan would take off to the quick start with a seven spot in the first inning and from there on the Store Tavren would try and catch up and would at one point get back with one run. The late in the game Handy Dan Home Improvement would put another big inning together and get the 14-9 win. With the lose the Store Tavren falls to 5-10 on the season. Gallery

Lyon Mountain Miners @ Fourth Ward Athletics

Lyon Mountain's Luke Weaver (24) with the leaping over the shoulder catch in center field. The Lyon Mountain Miners would meet the Fourth Watf Athletics in the deciding game three of the semi-finals today at Lefty Wilson Field in Plattsburgh. The Miners would rake control early and not look back as they would get one in gthe first. Then come back with three more in the second inning. With the quick 4-0 lead they would cruise through the rest of the game for the easy 7-1 victory and advance to the championship next weekend. In the winning effort Dave Waldron would go the distance giving up one run while striking out five. Gallery

Meron's Expos @ Fourth Ward Cardinals

Fourth Ward's first baseman (7) with the full out stretch at first to complete the out. The Fourth Ward Cardinals would host the Meron's Expos in the deciding game of the series for the right to go the finals. The game would start of close as the teams would trade runs in the first to have a 1-1 game. From there on out the Cardinals would pour it on as the Expos just seemed to have a off day. The Cardinals would break the game open in the second with six runs for the 7-1 lead and from there they would cruise to the 14-3 win. With the win the Cardinals advance to the Championship where they will take on the defending champion Lyon Mountain Miners in a best of three series. Gallery

Plattsburgh North Stars Vs Syracuse Shock

Plattsburgh's Dexter Geohagan (7) with the sliding scope catch in the endzone for one of his two touchdown night. The Plattsburgh North Stars would host the Syracuse Shock in week four of the EFL season in what could be a preview of the championship game. The North Stars would strike just over four minutes into the game with a 23 yard strike to Brett Boyer to give the North Stars the 7-0 lead. Then with eight seconds left in the first Dexter Geohagan would catch the 13 yard pass in the corner to give the Stars the 14-0 lead. Then half way through the second quarter the Shock get on the broad with the running touchdownn to make it 14-6. Then with just three minutes left in the half DJ Barber would make a 20 yard field goal for the 17-6 lead at the break. The Shock would get the only score in the third quarter on the QB sneak to make it 17-12. Then just as the fourth quarter the Stars would go up 24-12 on DJ Barbers TD Reception. Just three minutes later they would extend the lead to 31-18 on Dexter Geohagan second touchdown of the night. Then to finish off the night Brandon St. John would have a interception for a touchdown to make it a 38-18 final and win for the North Stars. In the winning effort Harry Rascoe would have 250 passing yards and four touchdown passes as the North Stars go to 3-1 overall and 3-0 in the league. Gallery

Clinton County Fair Truck/Tractor Pull

Wild Thing and Dwayne Newans is on a straight shot down the track during 6,200lb Pro Stock 4x4 Trucks B Class where he went 298 feet and took fourth place. The Adirondack Truck and Tractor Pullers would return for the annual pull at the Clinton County Fair in Plattsburgh. The pull would happen in front of a packed house and they would witness a great show. There would be just under a 100 entries divided into 20 classes. There would be lots of runs throughout the night that would keep the crowd on the edge of there seats. The tour will move onto Highgate, Vermont in a couple weeks at the Franklin County Field Days. Clinton County Fair Street Truck Pull

Jack Chamberlain and his 2010 Toyota Tundra take it down the track chewing up the loose dirt from the rain earlier and sending it skyward. It was that time of year again the Street Truck Pull at the Clinton County Fair brought to you by the Adirondack Truck & Tractor Pullers. There would be around 80 entries that would be divided into seven classes all the way from the stock truck to the mighty 2.6 Cheater Trucks. There would be many good runs throughout the night and very minimal damage. One of the exciting momements that happened had to be the hard rain storm that came and dropped atleast a inch of water in the matter of minutes. The pull would be halted for about a hour they would reprep the track and back pulling we would go. Congratulations to all the different winners throughout the night and for a great show for everyone. Gallery

Peabody Padres @ Fourth Ward Athletics

Padres' Mark Eggleston (1) tries to block the plate from Athletics Oswald looking to score and climbs over him for the run. The Padres would take on the Fourth Ward Athletics in the 1st round of the Champlain Valley Baseball League. The game would be a pitchers duel as the Athletics would get the lone run in the game in the fourth inning for the win. For the Athletics Brain Burns would go the distance for the complete game shutout win while giving up 4 hits. Im just as good a game Padres Frank Brogna would get the complete game 6 hits on and one run. With the Athletics win they will take the Lyon Mountain Miners in the semi-finals. Gallery

Plattsburgh North Stars @ Vermont Ice Storm

Plattsburgh's Brett Boyer (88) with the catch on the back shoulder and takes it to the endzone for the 55 yard touchdown. The Plattsburgh North Stars came into Burlington looking to get there Empire Football League of the right track against rival Vermont Ice Storm. The North Stars would stat of with a pick by Brandon St. John that he would take inside the 10 where the Stars would score and take a 6-0 lead. The North Stars would score twice more before the quarter ended to have a 20-0 lead including the long Brett Boyer touchdown. The Stars would score once in the second quarter to take a 27-0 lead at halftime. Then in the second half the North Stars would finish the beating with three more scores to get the 49-0 victory. With the win the North Stars go to 1-1 and 1-0 in the league. The North Stars start the home portion of there season next week against the Glens Falls Green Jackets in the Mayors Cup game. Gallery

Peabody Padres @ Lyon Mountain Miners

Peabody's Jake Liberty (8) with the running catch on the lopper in left field for the out. The Peabody Padres would travel to Lyon Mountain and have a doubleheader with the Miners to finish off the regular season of the CVBL season. The first game would go the way of the Miners as they would get the 4-0 win. The runs would come in the first and fifth as they would get two runs in each inning. In the winning effort for the Miners Dave Waldron would go the distance to get the shutout victory while giving up just four hits. In the second game it would be called after the fourth inning with the score tied at zero. The game will not be resumed as it makes no difference in the standings. With the playoffs starting next week the Miners will get a first round bye with the regular season title. The Padres will take on the A's in the 4/5 game in Plattsburgh. Gallery
