Canton's Katie Christy (12) with the header at midfield to keep it away it from Saranac's (20). The Saranac Chiefs would host the Canton Golden Bears in the Saranac Early Bird Tournament. The Saranac Chiefs would prove to be to much for the Golden Bears at they would cruise to a 5-1 victory. The Chiefs would take the early 1-0 lead in the first 5 minutes of the game and not let off the gas pedal. The Chiefs would take a 3-0 lead into the intermission. Then in the early part of the second the Bears would get there lone goal to keep there chances alive and the Chiefs would get two more to ice the game. With the win the Chiefs go to 1-0 on the season and the Bears start at 0-1 on the season. Gallery

Plattsburgh North Stars Vs Syracuse Shock

Plattsburgh Greg Roberson (7) comes in with the finishing blow to take down the Syracuse quarterback on a three way tackle. The Plattsburgh North Stars would defeat the Syracuse Shock 21-7 in a game that would be very phyiscail and have some stellar defense. The North Stars would never trail as they would take a 14 lead into the locker room on touchdowns from Josh Newphew and Jordon Kelrher. Then in second half the Stars would add on another touchdown to get the 21-7 victory. The defense would pick of the Syracuse quarterbacks three times during the night. With the win the Stars go to 6-3 overall and 5-3 in league play. As they will be at home again next week to take on the Montreal Voyguers Gallery

Plattsburgh North Stars Vs Vermont Ice Storm

Plattsburgh's Jamil McCray (24) with the catch in the end zone for the touchdown after the Vermont defender tipped the pass. The Plattsburgh North Stars would take on there rivals from across lake the Vermont Ice Storm. The North Stars would come in looking to avenge a earlier lose to the Ice Storm. The North Stars would get that revenge as they would defeat the Ice Storm by a score of 41-21. The North Stars would control the whole first half by only allowing the Ice Storm to have ten offensive plays and have a 28-7 lead at the half. In the second half the teams would trade scores as the North Stars would cruise to the 41-21 win. In the winning effort the North Stars go to 4-3 on the season and 3-3 in league play. Gallery

2nd Annual Car Show

Bil Carr and his 2005 Ford Mustang are the winner of the best in show at the Ellenburg Center Fire Department Car Show. There would be 47 cars that would particapte in the Ellenburg Center Fire Dpartment. The cars and trucks would range from the 1930's to modern cars of the 2000's. There would be many people from the community that would come and support the event by looking around at the cars along with taking part in the BBQ. Everyone at the fire department was very pleased with the turn out and already looking for to next years event. Gallery

Franklin County Fair

Car #126 ends up on top of the hood of car #5 during the four cylinder heat after a very hard hit. The annaul demolition derby would return to the Franklin County there would be over a hundered cars at the derby that would be seperated into eight heats including a truck heat as well. The winner if the derby would be Amanda Ashline. There were be plenty of hard hitting through out the night of action. Gallery

Malone Truck & Tractor Pull

Danny Jarvis and the Tazamanian Devil or a power pace for a top 3 finish in the Pro Stock 4x4 Truck class. The annual truck and tracror pull would return to the Franklin County Fair. There would be a total of 34 classes ranging from street legal truck to Super Farm tractor. There would be around 150 hooks for the day that would see the pull end early in the morning after having to wait out two rain delays. Gallery

Tyler Audet and Pure Breed Red cares the front wheels down the track to tack the win in both Super Farm classes. There would be around a 150 hooks through out the 33 classes that would see everything from Farm tractors all the way up to the 4x4 Tractors. There would be a packed house throughout the night. Highgate Truck Pull

RJ Smith and his 2006 GMC Seirra sends the nlack smoke high into the night sky during the 2.6 Cheater Truck division pull. The annual all night affair would return to the Franklin County Field Days in Highgate, Vermont. There would be over 100 hooks that would be spread over 9 classes. That would be seen in front of a full grandstand and the brand loyality was evendent trough out the night. Gallery
