Chateaugay's former Coach Ron Boyea is honored before the game for his 21 years of service as varsity basketball coach. He would be recieve a plaque with many of accomplishments and around 50 former players would come back to celeberate with him. The Chateaugay Bulldogs would host the Northern Adirondack Bobcats in non-league action. The Bulldogs would actual hold the Bobcats scoreless in the first quarter and lead 10-0 after the first. Then in the second quarter the Bulldogs would outscore the Bobcats 15-4 to take 29-4 lead into the half. Then in the third quarter the Bulldogs would out score them 17-7 and take a 46-11 lead into the fourth. In the 4th quarter the Bobcats would actual cut into the lead by outscoring the Bulldogs 13-8. The Chateaugay Bullldogs would host arch-rival Brushton-Moria Panthers in Section X action. The Bulldogs would leave little doubt in the game when they would outscore them 19-1 in the first quarter including a 13-0 run to start the game. From there on out the Panthers would do there best to stay in the game. In the second quarter the Bulldogs would outscore the Panthers 11-7 to take a 30-8 lead at intermission. Then in the second half the bulldogs would outscore the Panthers 27-23 to take the 59-31 victory. In the winning effort Courtney Boyea would lead all scores with 31 points. When the teams would come out the break it would be much of the same and the Bulldogs would cruise to the 63-22 win. The times would be tied at twelve after the first quarter. The Indians would start to pull away in the 2nd quarter and take the 26-19 lead at the break. The Bulldogs would do there best to hold it close in the 3rd quarter as the Indians would have a 40-34 lead going into the fourth. The Malone Huskies would host the Canton Golden Bears in Girls Basketball in central division. The two team would be matched evenly and the lead would stay between six and tweleve points all game. The game would get very phyiscal at times and some would even chippy. The Huskies would take the 17-9 lead after the first quarter. Then have a 24-18 lead at the break. Then they would have 38-28 lead after the third quarter and get the 50-39 victory. That is were the game would remain until the last few seconds of the game when Lake Placid;s Brooke Ried would score again in the empty net to secure the 2-0 win. In the third quarter the Sandstoners would do there best to stat close but the Huskies would extend the lead to 38-26. The start of a new basketball season would bring a new start to Chateaugay basketball as Mike Martin would start his tender as the boys head basketball coach. The season would start as it always does with the Bobcat Shootout in Ellenburg as they would take on the St. Lawerence Larries. The Bulldogs would show there newest as they would trail 20-15 after the 1st quarter. Then in the second quarter they start to hit there groove as they would take a 36-35 lead at the break. The third quarter would be very even as the Larries would take the 48-47 lead into the fourth. In that fourt quarter though the Bulldogs would outscore the Larries 14-7 to get the 62-54 win. The Chateaugay Bulldogs would host the Edwards-Knox Cougars in the quarterfinals on the section x boys soccer touranment. The Bulldogs would get the 1-0 lead within the first five minutes of the game on the Chad Slalter goal. The Cougars would get the equalizer in the 38th minute to make 1-1. That is where the score would remain throughout the rest of the regulation. The game would extra time to resolve it and thats were Bulldogs would get the game winner from Chad Slalter on a mad scramble in front of the net. The Peru Indians would host the Beekmantown Eagles in the Champlain Valley Athletic Conference Class B Championships. The Peru Indians would not leave much doubt in the game as they would take a 21-0 lead at the end of the first quarter. Then in the 2nd quarter they would score three more times to take a 41-0 lead in the break. In the second half the Eagles would do the best they could to keep the Indians off the score board and only give up one score to make it a 48-0 final. With the lose the Eagles season comes to an end at 6-3. With the win the Indians inprove to 8-1 on the season. They will be moving on to state play next week against the Malone Huskies in Massena. Then in the second half the Eagles would step up there defense and make the Chiefs have a few turnovers as they would into the endzone two more times to make a 42-6 final. The Saranac Chiefs would prove to be to much for the Golden Bears at they would cruise to a 5-1 victory. The Chiefs would take the early 1-0 lead in the first 5 minutes of the game and not let off the gas pedal. The Chiefs would take a 3-0 lead into the intermission. Then in the early part of the second the Bears would get there lone goal to keep there chances alive and the Chiefs would get two more to ice the game. Plattsburgh Greg Roberson (7) comes in with the finishing blow to take down the Syracuse quarterback on a three way tackle. The Plattsburgh North Stars would defeat the Syracuse Shock 21-7 in a game that would be very phyiscail and have some stellar defense. The North Stars would never trail as they would take a 14 lead into the locker room on touchdowns from Josh Newphew and Jordon Kelrher. Then in second half the Stars would add on another touchdown to get the 21-7 victory. The defense would pick of the Syracuse quarterbacks three times during the night. The Plattsburgh North Stars would take on there rivals from across lake the Vermont Ice Storm. The North Stars would come in looking to avenge a earlier lose to the Ice Storm. The North Stars would get that revenge as they would defeat the Ice Storm by a score of 41-21. The North Stars would control the whole first half by only allowing the Ice Storm to have ten offensive plays and have a 28-7 lead at the half. Bil Carr and his 2005 Ford Mustang are the winner of the best in show at the Ellenburg Center Fire Department Car Show. There would be 47 cars that would particapte in the Ellenburg Center Fire Dpartment. The cars and trucks would range from the 1930's to modern cars of the 2000's. There would be many people from the community that would come and support the event by looking around at the cars along with taking part in the BBQ. Plattsburgh Andrew Price (83) falles backwards making the touchdown catch for the go ahead score. The Plattsburgh North Stars would travel down to Glens Falls to take on the Greenjackets. The Plattsburgh North Stars would defeat the Glens Falls Greenjackets 34-22 to keep control of the Mayors Cup. The North Stars would get off to a quick start when Krys Ross would nearly run back the openning kickoff but the North Stars would score on the next play to take the lead. The teams would play equal for the rest off the half and the North Stars would actually trail 22-20 at the break. In the second half the North Stars defense would clamp down and not allow a score and the North Stars would get the 34-22 win. Airborne Speedway Padres (88) Matt Rivers with the barenhanded pick on the grounder and fires to first for the out. The Airborne Speedway Padres would defeat Fourth Ward Athletics 10-2. The game would start at Saranac High School where they played the top of the first. Then the rains would come and cause a hour long rain delay. Where the feild was determined to be unplayable so the game was moved to South Acres in Plattsburgh. The game would remain close through the openning six with Padres getting singles runs in the 2nd, 4th and 5th and Athletics would get one in the third to make it 3-1. Then in late innings the Padres bats would come alive getting 7 runs in the last three innings with the big blow coming from Joey Painters three run homer. The Ellenburg Center Fire Department would put on their first kid's day it would be a great had by all with 60 showing up. Throughout the day there kid rides on the fire truck, demonstrations with the fire hoses, fire safety in a smoke house showing kids what to do in case of fire, along with a bouncy house and face painting. A semi trailer coming from New Jersey had trouble making the right hand turn at the intersection. As they had to have NYSEG come out and raise and lower the traffic light for him to clear. The Cardinals would take the 1-0 lead three minutes into the second period on Jake Mooneys goal. Then Jared Dockings would extend the lead to 2-0 with 9 minutes left in the second period. The Bengals would cut the lead in half with 4 minutes left in the period to 2-1. Te Cardinals would take the 2 goal lead back with 2 minutes left in the third period on Patrick Jobb goal. In the third period the Bengals would get two goals including one with the extra attacker to sends us to overtime tied at 3. Chateaugay's Alexis Beach (10) with the swipe of ball and breaks through for the breakaway. The Chateaugay Bulldogs would defeat the St. Lawrence Larries 44-30. The Bulldog would take some time to get going as they would not score until there was 3 minutes left in the first quarter then it was off to the races. Once the found the net they would go on a run and lead 20-9 at the half and then cruise to 44-30 victory. The key the victory would be there defense as Courtney Boyea would have 12 rebounds along with Mikalya Fleury with 18 and Hannah Cook with seven steals. Leading the offense would be Courtney Boyea with 16 points. The Bulldogs improve to 8-3 on the season. Gallery

Chateaugay's Alexis Beach (10) drives the lane hard and gets the foul to head to line. The Chateaugay Bulldogs would get the non-league win over the Chazy Eagles 53-22. The game would be close throughout the first half as the Bulldogs would have just a 7 point lead. The offense would come alive in the 2nd half though and especially in the 4th quarter with a 17-5 quarter to secure the win. Plattsburgh State's Vick Shleuter (7) stuffs the puck in the net on the scramble in front of the net. #3 Plattsburgh State Cardinals would get a scare from Skidmore Thoroughbreds and get the 6-3 win. The Skidmore thoroughbreds would get the 2-0 lead before Vick Shuelter would answer back to make it 2-1 at the break. Then in the second period Nick Jensen would tie it up at 2. Then in the last 2 minutes of the period the thoroughbreds would score again to take a 3-2 lead to the intermission. Then in the third period the flood gates would open as the Cardinals would get 4 unanswered goals. It would start with Kyle Kudroch getting two goals to tie it up and game winner. Then Ryan Craig would score along with Michael Cassidy getting his first career goal. The win improves the Cardinals to 10-2-3 on the season. Gallery

Plattsburgh State's Mathieu Cadieux (29) with the game saving save with the leg on the breakaway. #3 Plattsburgh State Cardinals would defeat #4 Castleton State Spartans 3-2 in a rematch of the Cardinal Classic. The game would be scoreless until Matt McCleod scored 2 minutes into the second period and Castleton State would tie it up at 1 with 6 minutes left in the second to go into intermission tied at 1. Alex Jensen would give the Cardinals the lead back 2-1 5 minutes into the third. Then Alex Brenton would get the eventual game winner 4 minutes later. The Spartans would keep fighting and get back within 1 in the last 5 minutes. In the winning effort the Cardinals improve to 9-2-3 and Mathieu Cadieux would stop 24 of 26. Gallery
