Although the Hornets would answer back on a 30 yard pass to Tyler Phillips to tie the game at seven. Then in the closing seconds of the half the Hornets would add a 30 yard field goal from Liam Rascoe for the 10-7 lead at intermission. At the 8:42 mark of the third quarter the Hornets would extend there lead to 17-7 on the Tyler Phillips score. Although the Indians would keep fighting and get a late score from Alex Palmer. The game would be tight throughout and remain scoreless until 11:33 of the second period when the Blue Devils score to take a 1-0 lead. The Cardinals would tie the game up with 4 minutes remaining left in the second period on Rich McCartney's goal. The Cardinals would fight back and tie the game at the 13:15 mark of the second period on Ryan Kuhn goal. That would be all the scoring in the game and it would finish in a 1-1 tie. When the teams came back for the third quarter it would be pretty equal with the Cadets winning the quarter 12-11 and still trail the Cardinals 42-37. In the fourth quarter, the Cardinals would pull it together and win the quarter 17-15 and secure the 59-52 victory.
