Plattsburgh's Dylan Garrant (21) fights through the Peru tackler Keegan LaGrave (17) for the extra yards. It would be week 3 of the Champlain Valley Athletic Conference between cross town rivals as the Plattsburgh Hornets would host the Peru Indians. It would be a hard hitting game from the start and it would take til the second quarter for the first score of the game. In that first score the Peru Indians would take the 7-0 lead on the Kasen Brennan 6 yard score at the 6:25. Although the Hornets would answer back on a 30 yard pass to Tyler Phillips to tie the game at seven. Then in the closing seconds of the half the Hornets would add a 30 yard field goal from Liam Rascoe for the 10-7 lead at intermission. At the 8:42 mark of the third quarter the Hornets would extend there lead to 17-7 on the Tyler Phillips score. Although the Indians would keep fighting and get a late score from Alex Palmer. Although it would not be enough as the Hornets get the 17-13 victory. With the win the Hornets go to 3-0 as they head to Moriah next week. While the Peru Indians fall to 2-1 and head to Beekmentown next weekend. Gallery

Plattsburgh State's Jesse Nehr (22) looks to extend the lead on an open net but it goes just wide. The Plattsburgh State Cardinals would host the Fredonia State Blue Devils in SUNYAC action in the home finale of the season. The game would be tight throughout and remain scoreless until 11:33 of the second period when the Blue Devils score to take a 1-0 lead. The Cardinals would tie the game up with 4 minutes remaining left in the second period on Rich McCartney's goal. Then at the 3:40 mark of the third period, the Cardinals would score twice in 20 seconds to make it 3-1 on Jesse Nehr and Rich McCartney's goal. The Blue Devils would score at the 12-minute mark on a penalty shot to cut the lead in half at 3-2. Then in the closing minute of the game, Aryton Valente would score the empty netter to secure the 4-2 victory. In the winning effort, Lawson Fenton would make 37 saves as the Cardinals go to 12-11 on the season. Gallery

#3 Norwich Cadets @ #2 Plattsburgh State Cardinals - NCAA Division 3 Women's Hockey - November 7th 2018

Plattsburgh State's Annie Katonka (47)with the goal on the doorstep off the rebound. It would be a nonconference battle between the top three teams as the #2 Plattsburgh State Cardinals would host the #3 Norwich Cadets. It would be a game that would live up to the hype as the game would remain scoreless until the 13:57 mark of the second period. Then at that moment, Cardinals Mackenzie Millen would score a shorthanded goal for the 1-0 lead. The game would stay there til the 4:24 mark of the third period when Cardinals Annie Katonka would score on the powerplay for the 2-0 lead. That would be all the scoring on the night as the Cardinals would hold on for the 2-0 victory. In the winning effort, Kassie Abbott would make all 32 saves for the shutout as the Cardinals go to 3-0 on the season. Gallery

It would be the home opener for the Plattsburgh State Cardinals as they would face #2 and conference foe Gemeseo State to get the season started. The Cardinals would draw first blood on a goal by Cam Owens at 11:32 of the first period for the 1-0 lead. The Cardinals would extend the lead to 2-0 at 5:18 of the second period on a Pat Egan power play goal. The Cardinals would go up 3-0 a Cole Stallard goal at 15:04 of the third period. Although the Knights would not go away as they would get two goals in a thirty second span with 3:15 to remaining. Although the Cardinals would have enough to hold on for the 3-2 victory. Plattsburgh State's Ross Sloan (26) cuts in front of the net going for the go-ahead goal. The Plattsburgh State Cardinals hosted the Brockport State Golden Eagles in SUNYAC conference action. The game would be tight from the start. The opening goal of the game would come at the 8:06 mark of the second period and the Golden Eagles would take the 1-0 lead of the second period. The Cardinals would fight back and tie the game at the 13:15 mark of the second period on Ryan Kuhn goal. That would be all the scoring in the game and it would finish in a 1-1 tie. Norwich Cadets @ Plattsburgh State Cardinals - NCAA Division 3 Women's Basketball - November 10th 2018

Plattsburgh State's Bella DePasquale (4) with the three-pointer from the arc for the score. The Plattsburgh State Cardinals would host the Norwich Cadets in the season opener. The Cardinals would start the game on fire and have a commanding 20-10 lead after the first quarter. In the second the Cadets would do there best to get back into and cut the deficit in half with a 15-11 although the Cardinals would still lead 31-25. When the teams came back for the third quarter it would be pretty equal with the Cadets winning the quarter 12-11 and still trail the Cardinals 42-37. In the fourth quarter, the Cardinals would pull it together and win the quarter 17-15 and secure the 59-52 victory. In the winning effort, Taylor Durnin would lead the way with 13 points as they start there season 1-0. Gallery

The Plattsburgh State Cardinals would open up the home portion of the schedule against the Skidmore Mustangs in nonconference action. The game would be tight through the first half and the Cardinals would have a slim 37-33 lead at the break. When the teams came back for the second half the Cardinals would do there best to pull away but the Mustangs were doing there best to hang in there, the Cardinals would win the second half 46-42 and secure the 83-75 victory. In the second period the Cardinals would expand there lead to 4-0 with goals from Charles Barber, Cam Owens and Andrew Pizzo. In the third period the Cardinals would put the game away with three more goals from Rich McCartney, Christian Difelice and Cory Stallard and secure the 7-0 victory. In the winning effort Jimmy Poreda would make 21 saves in theb shutout effort as the Cardinals go to 4-3-1 on the season. Gallery

Plattsburgh State's Jesse Neher (22) splits the defenders and attempts a shot on night. The Plattsburgh State Cardinals would host the Fredonia State Blue Devils in SUNYAC action. The game would remain scoreless until the seven minute mark of the second period and Fredonia would take the 1-0 lead. The Blue Devils would extend there lead 2-0 on a power play goal in the fourteenth minute of the second period. Then with just over a minute left in the second period the Cardinals would cut the lead in half at 2-1 on Liam Lawson goal. Then with under six and half minutes left in the game the Cardinals would tie the game at two on the Andrew Pizzio goal. The with under a minute left in the game the Blue Devils would get the game winner and the Cardinals would fall 3-2. In the losing effort Jimmy Poreda would make 31 saves as the Cardinals fall to 4-4-1 on the season. Gallery
