It would be the finals of the 2021 Cardinal/Panther Classic and it would be a battle of top ten teams as the #2 Middlebury Panthers and the #9 Endicott Gulls would faceoff. It would be a matchup of two evenly matched teams as it would take till the start of the second period for the opening goal of the game from the Gulls just 17 seconds into the period from Quin Healy. That is where the game would stay till the 1:09 mark of the third period when the Panthers would get an equalizer from Cat Appleyard. The Panthers would stay on the gas and take the 2-1 lead on the Madie Ledt goal at the 10:01 mark and that is where the game would finish. In the winning effort, the Panthers go to 5-0 and be crowned the 2021 Cardinal/Panther Classic Champion while the Endicott Gulls fall to 7-2 on the season. Gallery.

The Middlebury Panthers have crowned the 2021 Cardinal/Panther Classic champions. It would be the finals of the 2021 Cardinal/Panther Classic and it would be a battle of top ten teams as the #2 Middlebury Panthers and the #9 Endicott Gulls would faceoff. It would be a matchup of two evenly matched teams as it would take till the start of the second period for the opening goal of the game from the Gulls just 17 seconds into the period from Quin Healy. That is where the game would stay till the 1:09 mark of the third period when the Panthers would get an equalizer from Cat Appleyard. It would be the opening of the Cardinal/Panther Classic as the #1 Plattsburgh State Cardinals would play host to the #9 Endicott Gulls, The game would start off good for the home Cardinals as they would get the opening goal of the game at the 10:59 mark of the first period from Emma Killeen for the 1-0 lead. Although the Gulls would have answered back about 90 seconds later as Quin Healy would tie the game up at 1. That is where the game would stay till the 9:28 mark of the second period when the Cardinals would regain the lead at 2-1 on the Sierra Benjamin goal at the 9:28 mark of the second period. Just 40 seconds later the Cardinals would strike again to take the two-goal lead on the Sara Krauseneck goal. Although that would not keep the Gulls from fighting back at they would answer back three minutes later on the powerplay on the Kaylee Liberty goal to make it 3-2. The Gulls would keep fighting and eventually get the equalizer halfway through the third period on Quin Healy's second goal of the night to make it 3-3. That is where the game would stay as they enter the overtime period until Samatha Fantasia would come down on the breakaway and score for the Gulls with 35 seconds left and get the 4-3 Gulls win and ending the Cardinals 44 game home winning streak. In the losing, effort Ashley Davis would make 14 saves as the Cardinals fall to 6-1 on the season. The conference foes from the Commonwealth Coast Conference would meet in a nonconference game for the consolation game of the 2020 WB Mason Winter Classic at Plattsburgh State. The Gulls would get the opening goal of the game at 6:43 mark from Elliott Clemmons. Although the lead would be short-lived as the Leopards would answer right back 12 seconds later and tie the game up on the Connor Beaudet goal to make it 1-1. About five minutes later at the 11:29 mark of the first period, the Gulls would retake the lead at 2-1 on Jason Kalinowski's second goal of the night. In the final 30 seconds of the period, the Leopards would tie the game at 2 on the Connor Beaduet second goal of the game. The game would stay there till the third period when Endicott's Jason Kalinowski would get his hat trick goal at the 11:48 of the third period. to make it 3-2. Then about three minutes later the Gulls would put the icing on the cake with 4-2 win on the goal by Zach Mazur. Mason Winter Classic hosted by the Plattsburgh State Cardinals and would feature a matchup between the Endicott Gulls and the Elmira Soaring Eagles. The first period would take sometime to get going as there would be no scoring there would be three goals in 9 minutes. The Gulls would get two goals from James Winkler and Stev Kuxhynski as the Soaring Eagles would get a lone goal from Kale Kane and the Gulls would have a 2-1 lead after the first period. In the second period the offenses on both sides would be a scoring machine as they would combine for four goals in the period. Scoring for the Soaring Eagles would be Nick Ford and Marty Kaponian and for the Gulls it would be Luke Rogers and Bump Lisk as the Gulls would take a 4-3 lead into the final period. In the final period the Soaring Eagles would keep up the fight and win the period 2-1 and send the game to overtime. Scoring in the third period for the Soaring Eagles would be Stev Kunchynski and Matthew Cuce. In the overtime it was starting to look like we were headed to the shootout until Elmira's Nick Ford would rip one by the goalie to give the Soaring Eagles the 6-5 win in overtime. With the win the Soaring Eagles will head to the championship of the W.B. Mason Winter Classic against either host Plattsburgh State or Wentworth. Gallery.

The #2 Plattsburgh State Cardinals would host the Endicott Gulls in the first round of the NCAA Tournament. The game would start of good for the Gulls as they would score 4:37 into the first period for the 1-0 lead. The Gulls would strike again just under five minutes left to have the surprising 2-0 lead. Although the Cardinals would come out of the locker room fired up and Courtney Moriarty would score four minutes into the period to cut the deficit in half at 2-1. The game would remain there until there was 8:19 left in the game when Annie Katonka would score on a scramble play in front of the net for a 2-2. The Cardinals would fight for the remainder of the period with no success. The game would head to overtime although we would not be there very long as the Annie Katonka would send the home fans home happy 45 seconds in for the 3-2 win. In the winning effort Kssi Abbott would make 8 saves as the Cardinals advance to the Quarterfinals Saturday against #9 Williams. Gallery
