The Cardinals would extend the lead to 3-1 on an RBI single by Frank Finkbeiner. The Red Dragons would add a run in the third to make it 3-2. Then in the sixth, the Red Dragons would add three runs and take a 5-3 lead. That would end the scoring on the day and the Cardinals would fall 5-3 and drop to 4-26 on the season. The game would remain scoreless until the third period when the Panthers would break through with three runs and take the 3-0 lead. The Cardinals would get on the board in the fourth inning with a sacrifice bunt to make it 3-1. The Panthers would answer back in the fifth inning with three more runs to make it 6-1 Panthers. At the bottom of the fifth, the Cardinals would keep it close getting two runs to make it 6-4. In the sixth, the Panthers would score one to make it 7-4. At the bottom of the sixth, the Cardinals would score five to make it 9-7 Cardinals. The game would stay there till the ninth when the Panthers would get two runs.
