It would be a matchup between the Plattsburgh Hornets and the Saranac Chiefs at Plattsburgh High School inside the Champlain Valley Athletic action. It would start off as a good game as the Hornets would get a single run in the second and third inning and have a 2-0 lead. Although early in the fourth inning the rain would come and the game would be put on hold and will be finished up at a later date. Gallery

Saranac's Aislyn Liberty (5) deliveries the strike for the strikeout as part of a complete game four strikes outperformance. It would be a Champlain Valley Athletic Conference Softball matchup between the Saranac Chiefs and the Peru Nighthawks in early season action. The game would start off good for the home Nighthawks as they would get five runs in the first two innings and take the 5-0 lead. In the third inning, the Chiefs would start to get back in the game with two runs on Benjamin and Owen base hits for a 5-2 game. The game would stay there till the sixth when the Nighthawks would get two runs again to resecure their five-run lead at 7-2 and that's where the game would finish for the Nighthawks win. Gallery
