Saranac's Isaac Garman (23) with the layin off the window for the score. It would be the fourth game of the day in the Section 7/10 Challenge featuring the Saranac Chiefs and Potsdam Sandstones. The Chiefs would be cruising in the first half as they would have a 35-25 lead at the break. In the second half it would be scramble as Potsdam would not give up easy and actually win the half 42-34. Although it would not be enough as the Chiefs hold on for the 69-65 victory and go to 5-9 on the season. Gallery.

Saranac's Rory Patterson (2) lays it in off the window for two of his seven-point night. It would be a Champlain Valley Athletic contest featuring the Saranac Chiefs and Ausable Valley Patriots it would also be the hall of fame night in Ausable. The game would start off tight as the Patriots would hold a one-point lead after one at 15-14, In the second quarter the Patriots would open up the game-winning the quarter 22-10 and have a 37-24 lead at the intermission. During halftime of the game, the Patriots would honor there 2016 Hall of Fame class by inducting Joey Painter, Evan Mousseau, Craig Beizo, and the 1994 football team. When the teams came back out for the third quarter they would come out a little slow as the Chiefs win the quarter 8-4 but still trail 41-32. In the fourth quarter, the Chiefs would try there best to get back in the game but the deficit would be too much as they tie the quarter at 12 and fall to the Patriots 53-44. Leading the way for the Chiefs would be Nick Mathers with 25 points as the Chiefs fall to 3-7 on the season. Gallery

It would be a Champlain Valley Athletic contest featuring the Saranac Chiefs and Ausable Valley Patriots it would also be hall of fame night in Ausable. This would be a game that the Plattsburgh Hornets would dominate from start to finish. The Hornets would have a 20-9 lead after the first quarter. In the second quarter, it would be more of the same as the Hornets would win the quarter 19-13 and take a 39-22 lead at the break. When the teams would return for the third quarter it would stay Hornets game as they win the quarter 26-12 and lead the game 65-34. The Hornets would go into coast mode in the fourth quarter and the Cheifs would win the quarter 15-13. Although the Hornets would cruise to the 78-49 victory as the Hornets go to 1-3 while the Cheifs fall to 0-5 on the season. Gallery

Beekmantown would show their dominance from the start of the game as they would get two goals in the first from Nathan Trombley and Seamus Andrews to lead 2-0 after the first. In the second period, the Eagles would break the game open as they would score four times from Christian Wawrzynski (twice), Josh McCauley, and Nathan Hebret to lead 6-0. In the third period, the Eagles would add two more for the icing on the cake from Kade Collins, and Kaden Kowalasaki to secure the 8-0 victory. In the Section VII Class C Championship, it would be a battle of the Saranac's as the Saranac Lake Red Storm would battle with the Saranac Chiefs. The Red Storm would jump out to the 13-0 lead after the first quarter. In the second quarter, the Chiefs would score on an Issac Garman touchdown to make it 13-7 at the intermission. In the third quarter, the Red Storm would regain the 12 point lead at 19-7. In the fourth quarter, the Chiefs would not go quietly as they would start off with a safety to make it 19-9. Then they score with about 4 minutes left on a Sean Ahern touchdown to make it 19-16. That is where the game would finish as the Saranac Lake Red Storm secure the victory and advance to the New York State Playoffs and will play the Ogdensburg Blue Devils. Gallery

The Saranac Lake Red Storm pose for there team photo as they are crowned the 2016 Section VII Class C Champions. In the Section VII Class C Championship it would be a battle of the Saranac's as the Saranac Lake Red Storm would battle with the Saranac Chiefs. The Red Storm would jump out to the 13-0 lead after the first quarter. In the second quarter, the Chiefs would score on an Issac Garman touchdown to make it 13-7 at the intermission. In the third quarter the Red Storm would regain the 12 point lead at 19-7. In the fourth quarter, the Chiefs would not go quietly as they would start off with a safety to make it 19-9. Then they score with about 4 minutes left on a Sean Ahern touchdown to make it 19-16. Saranac's Johnny Devins (22) with the run up the middle for the game winning score. It would be Week 8 of the Champlain Valley Atheltic Conference season and Semi-Finals of Class C pitting #2 Ausable Valley Patriots and #3 Saranac Chiefs. It would be an evenly matched game through the great equalizer the rain there would be no score after the first quarter. The Saranac Chiefs would take a 6-0 lead into half on a QB sneak by Johnny Maye with 5 minutes left in the half. In the third quarter with 8 minutes left the Ausable Valley Patriots would tie the game up at 6 on a Tyler Atkins run. The game would remain there through regulation. They would go into overtime tied at six. In that overtime the Chiefs would score on a short run by Johnny Devins on there first possession to secure the win and advance to the Class C finals against the Saranac Lake Red Strom. Gallery
