When the teams were out for the second quarter the Cardinals would would step it a little bit and win the quarter 16-13 to take a 29-27 lead into the intermission. When the teams came back for the third quarter the Bears were not going to let the Cardinals walk away and they would win the quarter 22-17 and the Bears would lead 49-46 after the third quarter. In the fourth quarter though the Cardinals would get the last word and win the quarter 26-20 and get the 72-69 victory. The #17 Plattsburgh State Cardinals would host fellow North Country foe Potsdam State Bears in SUNYAC action. The Cardinals would show off there 17 ranking in the first half they would cruise out to a 38-27 lead at the intermission. When the teams came back for the second half the Bears would not give you up and would win the half 49-41. The game would come down to a Brandon Johnson three pointer with 1.5 seconds left in the game for the Cardinals to get the hard fought 79-76 victory. The Cardinals would get the lone goal of the first period from Abby Brush at the 9:30 mark. In the second period, the Cardinals would score three times from Kayla Menneghain, Courtney Moriarty and Meghan Krause along with a lone Bears goal for a 4-1 Cardinals lead after the second period. In the third period, the Cardinals would add two more from Melissa Sheeran and Mackenzie Millen to secure the 6-1 victory. The #3 Plattsburgh State Cardinals would host the Potsdam State Bears in New England Women's Hockey League action. The Cardinals would take the early 1-0 lead at 3:37 of the first period on Cortney Moriarty's goal. Then in the closing seconds of the first Annie Katonka would score to make it 2-0 Cardinals after the first period. When the teams came back for the second period it would be more of the same for the Cardinals. As the Cardinals would score three times with goals coming from Melissa Sheehan (twice) and Mackenize Millen for the 5-0 lead. In the third period, the Cardinals wouldn't let up as they would score three more times. This time the Cardinals would get tallies from Mackenzie Millen and Annie Katonka (twice that would give Katonka the hat trick on the night as the Cardinals secure the 8-0 victory. In the second period, the Cardinals would find there groove as they would score twice from Melissa Sheeran (second goal) and Erin Brand. In the third period, the offense would continue with two goals from Melissa Sheeran (third goal) and Mackenize Millen for the 5-0 victory.
