It would be a Champlain Valley Athletic Conference game in Girl's Soccer action that would he the Saranac Chiefs hosting the Plattsburgh Hornets. It would be a game that the Chiefs will not soon forget as they would totally control the Hornets as they would go on for the 13-0 victory. In the winning effort the Syndey Myers would score five goals and Oliva Davis would add two more and the rest would divided up over 6 players. As the Chiefs will start the season off at 1-0 and the Hornets fall to 2-2 as they head into the second week of play and will look to the right the ship. Gallery

Saranac's Sydney Myers (10) breaks in on the breakaway and beats the goalie near side as part of a five goal game. It would be a Champlain Valley Athletic Conference game in Girl's Soccer action that would he the Saranac Chiefs hosting the Plattsburgh Hornets. It would be a game that the Chiefs will not soon forget as they would totally control the Hornets as they would go on for the 13-0 victory. Plattsburgh's Reha Maken (00) with the save in traffic as they try to pinch it in inside the 6 yard box. It would be crosstown rivalry game in the Champlain Valley Athletic Conference as the Plattsburgh Hornets would host the Beekmantown Eagles in girl's soccer action and the goals would becoming fast and furious on the night. The Hornets would get the opening goal of the game in the fourth minute from Emma Colter for the 1-0 Hornets lead. The Eagles would answer back in the 11th minute on goal from Maggie Labarge to tie the game at one. The Hornets would retake the lead at 2-1 on Emma Colter's second goal of the game. From there the Eagles would out with three goals unanswered in the last 13 minutes of half from Grace McCasland and Maggie LaBarge. When the teams came back for the second half the teams would combine for another seven goals as the Eagles take the shootout victory 7-6. In the winning effort the Eagles get there season started with a win as the Hornets suffer there first defeat of the season and fall to 2-1 on the season. Gallery

Peru Nighthawks Vs Plattsburgh Hornets August 31st 2022

Peru's goalie with the save on the long distance shot on net. It would be the start of the high school girl's soccer season with the Jan Davis Memorial Tournament at Chazy High School as the Plattsburgh Hornets would take on the Peru Nighthawks. The game would start great for the Nighthawks as they would strike twice in the first with goals from Duprey and Phillips for the 2-0 lead at the intermission. The second half would start off the same way for the Nighthawks as in the 46th minute Duprey would get her second of the game to make it a 3-0 Nighthawks. Then in the 54th minute the Hornets would get on the board with a Amaya Abellard goal to make it 3-1. Then just six minutes later Abellard would strike again and make it 3-2 with 20 minutes left in the game. Then with just just over eight minutes left in the game the Hornets would strike again from Abellard to tie the game at three and finish off her hat trick. Then inside the final minute of the game Bailey Hewson would strike to give the Plattsburgh Hornets the 4-3 victory and advance to the championship against Chazy. Gallery

There would be a battle for the ball along the end lines between a pair of Hornets and Nighthawks as they go to gain position. The Plattsburgh Hornets would be the away team as they play at home against the Northeastern Clinton Cougars a the Cougars' field was not ready to be played on. The game would start off good for the Hornets as they would get two runs in the first inning for the 2-0 lead and that's, where the game would stay until the bottom of the third when the Cougars would answer with two of their, own and tie the game at 2. Although it would not be tied for very long as the Hornets would answer back in the fourth inning with three runs and retake the lead at 5-2. Then in the fifth, the Hornets would get two more as they would extend the lead to 7-2. In the bottom of the fifth, the Cougars would get a single run to make it a 7-3 game, and then at the bottom of the sixth, the Cougars would add another three runs and make it a 7-6 game as they went to the seventh. In the seventh inning, the Hornets would the game away as they would add three runs and get the 10-6 win. Gallery

Peru's pitcher deliveries the strike as part of the complete game win. It would be a Champlain Valley Athletic Conference Softball matchup between the Saranac Chiefs and the Peru Nighthawks in early season action. The game would start off good for the home Nighthawks as they would get five runs in the first two innings and take the 5-0 lead. In the third inning, the Chiefs would start to get back in the game with two runs on Benjamin and Owen base hits for a 5-2 game. The game would stay there till the sixth when the Nighthawks would get two runs again to resecure their five-run lead at 7-2 and that's where the game would finish for the Nighthawks win. Gallery

Plattsburgh's Bostyn Duquette (4) slides under the tag at second base with the stolen base. The Plattsburgh Hornets would host the Northeastern Clinton Cougars at the first game at the new baseball field as part of the Plattsburgh High School Athletic Complex. The game would start off good for the home Hornets as they would get two runs thanks to Duquette and Trombley. Then in the second inning, the Hornets would add another run because of an error as the Hornets extend their lead to 3-0. Then in the fourth inning, the Hornets would add another run thanks to a rbi single and take the 4-0 lead. In the fourth inning, the Cougars would get on the board on the sacrifice fly by Ebersol for a 4-1 game. Although in the bottom of the fourth the Hornets retake their four-run on the sac fly by Bostyn Duquette for the 5-1 game. Then in the fifth inning, the Hornets would add two more runs thanks to the king's hit for the 7-1 lead. Then in the sixth inning, the Hornets would blow the game wide open as they would explode for a nine-run inning highlighted by a pair of extra-base hits by Trombley and King as they would make it a 16-1 game and that's where the game would finish up. With the win, the Hornets get their season started off right at 1-0 while the Cougars are still looking for a win as they are 0-2. Gallery
