It would be the semi-finals of the New York State Section VII Class B and the #3 Plattsburgh Hotnets travel to the #2 Peru Indians. The Indians would take the 3-0 lead on the first drive of the game with a 24 yard yard field goal by Keegan Smith. The game would stay there till 2:30 left in the half when the Indians would add another field goal from Keegan Smith this time 32 yards for the 6-0 lead as they head to the break. When the teams came out for the second it would be the tail of two halves as the Hornets offense would open up with a 27 yard pass touchdown to Ian Detuelleo to give the Hornets the 7-6 lead five minutes into the half. Then just 2:30 minutes later the Hornets would strike again on the ten yard run by Javon Carpenter for the 14-6 lead. From there on the defenses would be a wall and there would be no scoring. With that be said the Plattsburgh Hornets would get the 14-6 over the Peru Indians and both teams go to 4-4 on the season while the Hornets head to the sectional championship against the Beekmantown Eagles. Saranac Chiefs @ Peru Indians - Champlain Valley Athletic Conference Football - October 11th 2019

Saranac's Connor Recore (80) with the unbalance catch along the sidelines with Peru's Gavin Partdon (30) with the coverage. A sluggish first quarter wasn't enough to deter the Peru Indians, as they rode a solid running game to a second-half comeback, snapping their losing streak with a 21-11 win over Saranac. The Indians found themselves in a hole early, as Saranac's Connor Burns found Hunter Devins for a 73-yard touchdown pass. Two botched fourth-down snaps by Peru resulted in a pair of safeties, and the Chiefs led 11-0 after one quarter of play. That would be the end of the scoring for the visiting team, though, and Peru found its elusive running game on the back of Jack Hanson, who rattled off 181 rushing yards in the game. Twice in the second quarter, the Indians drove to within five yards, only to two turn the ball over each time. Momentum remained with Peru in the second half. An interception by Gavin Padron set the Indians up for a five-yard touchdown run by Hanson to cut the Chiefs' lead, and a 38-yard scoring run in the third quarter by Hanson gave the home side the lead.The Indians put the game away for good with a five-yard pass by Zach O'Connell to Austin Carpenter.The result leaves both teams with a record of 3-3 heading into the final week of the regular season. The Indians will host Saranac Lake at 7:30 p.m. Friday, while the Chiefs will host Plattsburgh High School Saturday at 1:30 p.m. Gallery

Beekmentown Eagles @ Peru Indians - Champlain Valley Athletic Conference Football - September 27th 2019

It would be week four of the Champlain Valley Athletic Conference and it would be the classic matchup under the lights as the Peru Indians would host the Beekmantown Eagles. The game would start of like the classic as there would be no score after the first quarter. The Eagles would finally break through four minutes into the second quarter as Connor McGinnis would score on a 23 yard run for the 6-0 lead. Then at the 7:44 mark of the 2nd quarter the Eagles would double there lead on a 54 yard pass and catch to Kaden Myers for the 12-0 lead. Then with just over two minutes left in the half Myers would score on a 11 yard run for the 19-0 lead at the half. When the teams came back for the second half the Eagles would keep up the effort as they would extend there lead to 26-0 on a one yard sneak by Nathan Finley. That would end the scoring on the night and the Eagles would get the 26-0 win. In the winning effort the Beekmentown Eagles go to 3-1 while the Peru Indians fall to 2-2 on the season. Gallery

As the Peru Indians would host the Plattsburgh Hornets in there first ever game under the Friday Night Lights. The game would start off good for Peru as they would get a safety 1:40 into the game for the 2-0 lead. Then about half through the first quarter the Indians strike with a 9 yard pass to Ian Joy for the 9-0 lead. That is where the game would stay till the third quarter as there would be no scoring as the defenses stepped up. Just under 5 minutes into the third quarter the Indians would score on a 6 yard run by Zach O'Connell and extend there lead to 16-0. Although the Hornets wouldn't be out done as they would take the kickoff 83 yards for the Ian Detulleo score and make it a 16-6 game. Then just a minute after that the Indians would extend there lead to 23-6 on the Austin Carpenter 73 yard catch run. Although the Hornets wouldn't go quietly as Foster Ovios would score on a 13 yard pass to make it 23-14 with just over ten minutes left in the game. Plattsburgh's Ian Detuello (2) fends off Peru's Gavin Padron (30) with the stiff arm as he balances down the sidelines. It would be the semi-finals of the New York State Section VII Class B and the #3 Plattsburgh Hotnets travel to the #2 Peru Indians. When the teams came out for the second it would be the tail of two halves as the Hornets offense would open up with a 27 yard pass touchdown to Ian Detuelleo to give the Hornets the 7-6 lead five minutes into the half. Then just 2:30 minutes later the Hornets would strike again on the ten yard run by Javon Carpenter for the 14-6 lead. From there on the defenses would be a wall and there would be no scoring. With that be said the Plattsburgh Hornets would get the 14-6 over the Peru Indians and both teams go to 4-4 on the season while the Hornets head to the sectional championship against the Beekmantown Eagles. Peru's Austin Carpenter(5) with the pass breakup on Plattsburgh's Zack Bieber (88) to save the touchdown. It would be week 3 of the Champlain Valley Athletic Conference between cross town rivals as the Plattsburgh Hornets would host the Peru Indians. It would be a hard hitting game from the start and it would take til the second quarter for the first score of the game. In that first score the Peru Indians would take the 7-0 lead on the Kasen Brennan 6 yard score at the 6:25. Although the Hornets would answer back on a 30 yard pass to Tyler Phillips to tie the game at seven. Then in the closing seconds of the half the Hornets would add a 30 yard field goal from Liam Rascoe for the 10-7 lead at intermission. At the 8:42 mark of the third quarter the Hornets would extend there lead to 17-7 on the Tyler Phillips score. Although the Indians would keep fighting and get a late score from Alex Palmer. Although it would not be enough as the Hornets get the 17-13 victory. With the win the Hornets go to 3-0 as they head to Moriah next week. While the Peru Indians fall to 2-1 and head to Beekmentown next weekend. Gallery.

Peru's Austin Carpenter (5) slides into the end zone for the lone Indians score. It would be the Champlain Valley Athletic Conference Class B Semi-Finals featuring the #2 Plattsburgh Hornets and the #3 Peru Indians It would be a defensive battle with both teams going for every yard they can. The Indians would draw first blood on a four-yard run by Austin Carpenter to give them the 8-0 lead with 2:12 left in the first quarter. In the second quarter the Hornets would answer back on a 61-yard pass to Zach Bieber to make it an 8-7 game. Believe it or not, that would be all the scoring the game and the defenses would crank down and not allow another score the rest of the night. With the 8-7 victory, the Peru Indians would improve 5-3 as they head to the championship next week against the Beekmantown Eagles while the Plattsburgh Hornets season comes to end with a 4-4 season.
