Peru's Luaren Prescott (5) with the tag on Plattsburgh's Hornets would-be base stealer. It would be the semi-finals of the Class B Champlain Valley Athletic Conference playoffs and the #1 Plattsburgh Hornets would host rival #4 Peru Nighthawks at the Plattsburgh Athletic Complex. With the winner meeting the winner of the other semi-final the Saranac Chiefs and the Saranac Lake Red Storm at Plattsburgh State Cardinal Park on Thursday. The game would remain scoreless until the top of the third inning when the Nighthawks would erupt for a 3-0 lead by Gabby Cunningham's 2 rbi double. In the fifth inning, the Nighthawks would get a tac-on round on the sacrifice fly by Steph Gappner for the 4-0 lead. Although the Hornets would not go quietly as they would try to hold the home field they would answer back in the sixth inning with a pair of runs lead by rbi hits by Duquette and Miller to make it a 4-2 game. The Hornets would try and tie the game up in the seventh but it would fall short and the Peru Nighthawks would get the upset win to advance to Section VII Class B Finals against the Saranac Chiefs. In the winning effort, Zoey Malcolm would go the complete game giving up 2 runs on three hits while striking out eight to get the win. Gallery

It would be the semi-finals of the Class B Champlain Valley Athletic Conference playoffs and the #1 Plattsburgh Hornets would host rival #4 Peru Nighthawks at the Plattsburgh Athletic Complex. Chateaugay's Kylie Hanley (10) makes solid contact on the pitch and sends it back up the middle for a single. The Chateaugay Bulldogs would host the Madrid-Waddington Yellowjackets in Section X Class D Quarterfinal playoff action. The Yellowjackets would start off with upset on there mind as they would get single runs in the first and second inning to take a 2-0 lead. Then the Yellowjackets would get two in third to make it 4-0 Yellowjackets. Although in the bottom of the third the Bulldogs would get on the broad with 3 runs to make it 4-3. They would then pull ahead in the bottom of the fourth with four runs to make it 7-4. Then before the fifth could be started the rains would come and the umpires would hold the game up and later suspended due to unplayable field condition. The game was scheduled to be resumed on May 23 but rain would postpone the game again and now scheduled to be restarted on Tuesday, May 28th. Gallery

Chateaugay's Shelby Coleman (13) goes down to field the ground ball and fires to first for the out. The Chateaugay Bulldogs would defeat the Harrisville Pirates 10-1 in the Class D Quarterfinals. The Pirates would take the early 1-0 lead. Then from the fourth inning on the Bulldogs would get ten unanswered runs. As they would get five runs in both fourth and sixth innings. In the winning effort, Courtney Boyea would go the distance striking out three and giving up four hits. With the win, the Bulldogs advance to the semi-finals against the Heuvelton Bulldogs. Gallery
