Plattsburgh State's Madison Walker (17) waiting on the rebound attempt in front. The #2 Plattsburgh State Cardinals would host the Buffalo State Bengals in a NEWHL game. The game would start slow as the Cardinals would get the lone goal of the period from Kerri Corcoran. The game would remain there til 7:05 of the second period when Buffalo State would equal the game up at one. Although from there the Cardinals would light the lamp three more times in the period from Courtney Moriarty to make it 4-1 after the second period. hen the teams came out for the third period the Cardinals offense would go on fire and score five goals. All five goals scorers would be different from Melissa Sheehan, Baye Falagan, Lizzy Viola, Annie Katonka and Sarah Wolf for the 9-1 victory. In the winning effort, Kassi Abbott would make 19 saves as the Cardinals go to 20-2-2 on the season. Gallery

Plattsburgh State's Kayla Menneghein (9) taps in the goal into the open net. It would be a beat between NEWHL conference foes as the Plattsburgh State Cardinals would host the Cortland State Red Dragons. The Cardinals would take the lead five minutes into the game on the Annie Katonka goal. The Red Dragons would tie the game at 1 on the power-play goal nine minutes into the first. The Cardinals although would regain the lead Kayla Menneghan goal with four minutes left in the first for the 2-1 lead after the first period. In the second period, the Red Dragons would get the lone goal of the period to tie it at 2. The Cardinals would regain the lead again on the Courtney Moriarty goal 4 minutes into the third period at 3-2. Then at the 9:46 mark of the third period, the Cardinals would extend there lead to 4-2 Kayla Meneghain second goal of the night. Then at 13:07, the Cardinals would put the icing of the cake on the Erin McCardle goal to secure the 5-2 victory. The Eagles would get the opening goal of the game at 12:03 of the first period from Katie Granato. The Eagles would extend the lead to 2-0 on Durnell's goal at 18:16 of the first period. The Cardinals would immediately make it a one-goal game again on Courtney Moriarty's goal 22 seconds later. The Cardinals would come out firing in the second period and tie the game up at 2 30 seconds into the second period on Mackenize Mullen's goal. Although just over two minutes later the Soaring Eagles would regain the 3-2 lead on Emma Crooker's goal. The Eagles would add an empty netter in the closing minute to secure the 4-2 victory. It would be a rematch of the last year's national championship as the #2 Plattsburgh State Cardinals would host #4 Adrian Bulldogs in the semi-finals of the UNO Classic. In a game that would live up to all the hype, it would be the defenses that would be on display. The lone goal of the game would come from Courtney Moriarty on a scramble play in front of the net with seven seconds left in the first period. That would be all the Cardinals would need as they hold on for the 1-0 victory behind 28 saves from Kassi Abbott. As the Cardinals go to 6-1 on the season and will face the Elmira Soaring Eagles in the finals of the UNO Classic. Gallery
