The Cardinals would take the lead five minutes into the game on the Annie Katonka goal. The Red Dragons would tie the game at 1 on the power-play goal nine minutes into the first. The Cardinals although would regain the lead Kayla Menneghan goal with four minutes left in the first for the 2-1 lead after the first period. In the second period, the Red Dragons would get the lone goal of the period to tie it at 2. In the third period, the Cardinals wouldn't let up as they would score three more times. The Cardinals would immediately make it a one goal game again on Courtney Moriarty's goal 22 seconds later. The Cardinals would come out firing in the second period and tie the game up at 2 30 seconds into the second period on Mackenize Mullen's goal. Although just over two minutes later the Soaring Eagles would regain the 3-2 lead on Emma Crooker's goal. The Eagles would add a empty netter in the closing minute to secure the 4-2 victory.
