Plattsburgh State's Matt Prokesch (6) battles for position inside the box going for goal and have a goal in the game. The Plattsburgh State Cardinals would host the RPI Engineers in nonleague action. The Cardinals would have a 3-2 lead after the first quarter with goals from Brendan Damm (2) and Matt Prokescch. In the second quarter, the Engineers would outscore the Cardinals 4-1 and take a 6-4 lead into the break getting the lone goal for the Cardinals would be Ryan Callahan. When the teams would return for the second half the Engineers would win the third quarter 3-1 and have a 9-5 lead the Cardinals goal would come from Joey Kromer. In the fourth quarter, there would only be one goal scored by the Cardinals Patrick Nash. Although it would not be enough as the Plattsburgh State Cardinals would fall 9-6 and go to 4-4 on the season. Gallery

It would be the home opener for Plattsburgh State Cardinals would host the Norwich Cadets in nonconference action. The Cardinals would take control of the game early with a 7-1 lead after the first quarter with goals coming from Ryan Hubbard (2), Ryan Callahan (2), Matt Renko, Matt Prokesch, and Brendan Dam. In the second quarter, the Cardinals would extend there lead to 11-3 with goals coming from Mike Gray, Jimmy Warden, Brendan Dam (2), Ryan Callahan (2) and Ryan McCarthy. When the teams came back for the third quarter the Cardinals would win the quarter 5-0 and have a 16-3 with goals from Michael Labianca, Patrick Nash (3), and Jake Carroll. In the fourth quarter, the Cadets would get two-goal to make it look better. Although the Cardinals would get the 16-3 victory and go to 1-2 on the season and Ryan Callahan would lead the way with four goals. Gallery

Plattsburgh State's Joey Kromer (4) battles for the face off win at the center circle. The Plattsburgh State Cardinals would host the Oswego State Lakers in SUNYAC Conference play. Through the first 15 minutes there would not be much decided as the teams would tied at four getting goals for the Cardinals would Tom Duggan (twice), Courtney Cox and Brendan Damm. In the second quarter the Cardinals start to push there weight around and win the period 4-2 and have a 8-6 lead at the break getting goals for the Cardinals would be Robbie Ashlaw, Jack Felter, Tim Lawrence and James Reed. When the teams came back for the third period the Cardinals would start to blow the game out as they won the period 6-2 and took a 14-8 lead on goals from Tom Duggan (third of the night), Mike Gay, Brendan Damm (second and third of the night), Tim Lawrence (second of the night), Robbie Ashlaw (second of the night). In the fourth the Lakers would try and get back in the game but it would not workout as they won the quarter 3-2 but the Cardinals would hold onto the 16-11 victory getting goals for the Cardinals was Robbie Ashlaw (third of the night) and Charlie Dullea. In the winning effort Andrew Hauk would make 11 saves as the Cardinals go to 9-4 on the season. Gallery

The Plattsburgh State Cardinals would host the #17 St. Lawrence Saints in non-league action. The Saints would take the quick 1-0 lead on Pierson Fowlers goal at 3:12. The Cardinals would come back and tie the game up at 7:50 on Tim Lawrence's goal for a tie at 1 after the first quarter. When the second quarter came so did the goals the Cardinals got three unanswered goals in the first five minutes from Brendan Dam, Cole Andersen, and Anthony Pefundi for the 4-1 lead. The Saints finally would answer with one to make it 4-2. Then the Cardinals would come back with two more goals to make it 6-2 from Robbie Ashlaw and James Reed. Then the teams two finish off the half by trading goals two goals each Tim Lawerence and Brendan Dam both getting there second of the day for the Cardinals and have the 8-4 lead at the break. The third quarter would be the quarter the Cardinals make there charge as they would outscore them 6-2 and take a 14-6 lead on goals from Jake Felter (first and second of the day), Brendan Dam (third and fourth of the night), Robbie Ashlaw (second & third of the day). In the fourth quarter the Saints would do everything they could to make up the difference but there 6-2 quarter would not be enough scoring for the Cardinals was Robbie Ashlaw (fourth of night) and Brendan Dam (fifth of the day) to secure the 16-12 win for the Cardinals. The Plattsburgh State Cardinals would host the Brockport State Golden Eagles in the Semi-Finals of the SUNYAC Championship in the program's first very home playoff game. The Cardinals would not show any nerves they would get off a quick 4-2 lead after the first quarter with goals going to Tim Lawrence (twice), James Reed, and Nick Travers. The Cardinals would keep the foot on the accelerator as they would take 7-3 lead into the break on goals from Joey Kramer (twice) and Tim Lawrence (third of the day). In the third, the Eagles would try there best to get back in the game scoring four goals. Although the Cardinals would answer there four with a five to take a 12-7 lead into the fourth with goals going to Tom Duggan (three times), Anthony Pafundi, and Joey Kramer (third of the day). In the fourth quarter, the Cardinals would finish off there 15-7 victory with goals from Tim Lawrence (fourth) Joey Kramer (fourth) and Nick Perrella. In the winning effort, Gordie Gehring would stop 10 shots. With the win, the Cardinals move into there first-ever SUNYAC Championship as they will travel to Cortland to take on the undefeated Red Dragons with the automatic berth to the NCAA Tournament on the line. Plattsburgh State's Mike Travers with the hard open field to gain possession. In the SUNYAC finale, the Plattsburgh State Cardinals would defeat the Brockport State Golden Eagles 10-9 in double overtime. The first quarter would belong to the Golden Eagles as they would lead 5-1 after the first. From there on the Cardinals come storming back to get the game-tying goal with under three minutes left in the game. Then in the second overtime, Tommy Kilderry would get the winner to send the Cardinals home happy. With the win, the Cardinals improve there record to 10-5 on the season. Gallery
