Zack Daniels (30) gets the bottom of the track for the winning pass on Nathaniel Guay (97.5) in the Renegades Main. It would be the third night of racing from Airborne Speedway for 2023 with 358 Modifieds, Sportsman Modified, Renegades, Limited Sportsman Modified, and the Street Stock all in action on the night. Once the heat races would be done on the night it would be onto the features for the evening with the Limited Sportsman Modified first and it would see Nate Leonard make quick of the field to get his first career win. Then it would be onto the 358 Modifieds feature and it would see a great battle up front between Mike Mahaney and Felix Roy with the eventual win going to Felix Roy on a pass with a couple of laps left and Chris Raabe would round out the top three. Then it would be onto the SportsmanModified feature and it would be a race that would take some time to get going as there would be four cautions in the first laps of the race but once it did get going Mike Phinney would get around Beau Reeves for the lead and would not give it up the rest of the night for the win and Reeves and Aubin would round out the top three with the Hard Charger Bucko Braham getting fourth after a 19th place start. Then we would be onto the Renegades for their 25-lap event and Nathaniel Guay would get the early lead at the start of the race. Although he would start falling backward and Zack Daniels would get the lead and hang on for the win over a hard-charging Shawn Duquette and last week's winner Bill Thwaits for the top three. Then the last race of the evening would be the Taylor Rentals Street Stocks for fifteen laps and it would see Josh Blake getting the win but that would not be without challenge from Josh Laporte Jr and Ryan Senecal and that would be Blake's first win. The Airborne Speedway will be back in action next weekend June 3rd with the Sportsman Modified, Renegades, Limited Sportsman Modified, and the Street Stock in action plus the Mohawk Valley Antique racers. Airborne Speedway Week 2 Nightlights

Joey Scarbrough (11vt) celebrates his first win of the season in victory lane after a pass on Michael Wright with two laps to go for the win. It would be the second racing weekend of the season from the Airborne Speedway and it would see the four main divisions of the season in racing action with the J+S Steel Sportsman Modified, Hartson Total Opening Renegades, Taylor Rental Street Stocks, and the Northern Blacktopping Limited Sportsman Modified on Law Enforcement Night. There would be a slight delay at the start of the action as the dust and sun setting was making it very difficult for the drivers to see down the backstretch so they would do some more track prep before the start of the racing action. Once the racing would get underway there would be great battles throughout the divisions and minimal numbers of cautions on the evening. All racing was done around 9:30. Once the heat races were over it would be on to and the first feature out of the box would be the Northern Blacktopping Limited Sportsman Modified. It would see Mike Arnold get his second straight win to start the season as he would get the wire-to-wire victory over Rick Frenyea and Parker Derdomey. Then next up would be the Taylor Rental Street Stock for there 15 lap event and it would be another race that would caution free but it would be not without great racing competition as it would see Jake Fountain and Rich Doner battle for the early race lead which Fountain would get and hold on for his first win of the season and then there would be a great battle down the stretch with Doner and Josh Laporte Jr for second which would see Doner hold on for second place with Laporte getting third. Then it would be on to the J+S Steel Sportsman Modified and that would see Michael Wright start on the pole and just take off on the field but there would be a hard-charging Joey Scarbrough that would come from his ninth starting spot and with two laps to go be on the back bumper of Michael Wright and would use the lap car as a pick for the winning pass to get the win Michael Wright would get second and Craig Worley would finish out the podium. Then it would be the last race of the night with the Hartson Total Opening Renegades in there 25 lap main event and would see Billy Thwaits have a great battle with the Terry Brothers in the closing laps for the win on a late-race restart to get his first win of the season to send the crowd home happy and wanted more next. Airborne Speedway Week #1 Highlight

Chris Cayea (18) scores the opening night victory in the J+S Steel Sportsman Modified over Gabriel Cyr and Jamy Begor. It would be the opening night of the 2023 season and the kick-off to the 69th season at the Airborne Speedway presented by the A Verdi Storage Containers and there would be five divisions in action on the evening with the Be Cool Heating and Air Conditioning 358 Modifieds, J+S Steel Sportsman Modified, Harson Total Opening Renegades, Northern Blacktopping Limited Sportsman Modified and the Taylor Rental Street Stocks and there would be a total of 111 cars in the pits. Once all the heat races were over it would be onto the main events of the night and the first out of the box would be the J+S Steel Sportsman Modified it would see Jamy Begor get off to the quick start and take the early lead but there would be a restart midway through the race and it would see Chris Cayea use the high side to advantage and pull away for the win while Gabriel Cyr would beat Begor on the last lap to round out the top three on the night. Then next up would be the return of the 358 Modifieds to the Airborne Speedway with their 30-lap feature which would see Lance Willix get the win in dominating fashion as he would lead all thirty laps for the win. Although he would not be without competition as he would be alongside Chris Raabe for the restart and Raabe would be for a few laps and then Willix would just pull away for the win. There would be a nice battle for second in the closing laps as Chris Raabe and David Herbet would jostle for the position back in fourth but in the end, it would be Raabe second and Hebert third. Then it would be onto the Hartson Total Opening Renegades for there 25 lap feature event and would see a battle between Josh Terry and a guy making his return to the track after a hard mid-season wreck last year keep out the rest of the season and Duquette would get the win using his patterned bottom lane and hugging the grass for the win and Jason Boggett would finish third to round out the top three. Then we would be onto the Northern Blacktopping Limited Sportsman Modified and it would see a first-timer getting the win as Mike Arnold would get the win in the fifteen-lap caution-free event. Then to finish off the night it would be the Taylor Rental Street Stocks in their fifteen-lap event with nearly 30 cars on the track. It would take the race a few tries to get going as there would be several cautions in the first few laps of the race but once the dust settled Mat LaValley would come away with the win after a hard battle with Josh LaPorte and Ryan Senecal would round out the top three. Tylor Terry (44) and Billy Thwaits (69) battle it out for the last checkered flag of the year in the Renegade division and Tylor Terry would take win number four of the season. It would be the final round of the 2022 racing season at the Airborne Speedway and be presented by Unifrist and the Mohawk Valley Vintage Dirt Modifieds would be on hand as well. The night would start with all the cars in the pits coming out on the track and taking part in a four wide salute to the fans thanking them for there attendance throughout the 2022 racing season. First up on the night would be the first of two features on the night for the Mohawk Valley Vintage Dirt Modified and the win would go to Justin Perry after Tim Hagerty had a full straightaway lead on the last lap and the car just dies. Then it would be onto the heat races for the regular divisions at the track and first up would be the J+S Steel Sportsman Modified and the winners would be Jason Bruno and Bucko Branham. Then next up would be the Hartson Total Opening Renegades with there two heats and the winners would be Cody Agoney and Jim McKerrian. Then we would have the Northern Blacktopping Limited Sportsman Modified for there heat and the win would go to Scott Fitzgerald. Then to finish off the heat races on the night it would be the Taylor Rental 4 Cylinders with there three heats and the winners would be Kenny Tourville, Josh LaPorte and Jake Fountain. Then it would be onto the second half of the races on the night and it would start with the second feature of the Mohawk Valley Vintage Dirt Modified and the win would go to Randy Delaney. Then we would be onto the Hartson Total Opening Renegades Main and the points championship would come down to Richie Turner and Nathaniel Guay and by Richie Turner getting a third place on the night he would be crowned the 2022 Hartson Total Opening Renegades champion while Tylor Terry would come across and get his fourth win of the season take the bragging rights into the off season of getting the last win of the season. Then next up would be the Northern Blacktopping Limited Sportsman Modified for there 15 lap event and Scott Fitzgerald would get the spoiling Cody O'Brien's to go back to back in the division. Then it would be onto the J+S Steel Sportsman Modified main and there title would come down to a three person battle between Jamy Begor Travis Bruno and Codie Aubin. Begor would go out there knowing he needed some help to win the championship and he did everything in his power to win the title as he would come up from his 9th place starting position and win the race that went 25 laps caution free but by Travis Bruno taking home a third place he would hold on for a 14 point win and be crowned a two time defending champion of the J+S Steel Sportsman Modified. Then it would be the final race of the 2022 Airborne Speedway season as the Taylor Rental 4 Cylinders would hit to the track for there 20 lap race with the championship being decided last week it would be all for pride on the line and the race would be caution free and see Kenny Tourville getting the last race of the season. It would be the seventeenth race of the season from the Airborne Speedway and it would be the ever popular Kid's Ride Night along with a 1500 to win Sportsman Modified and 750 to win Limited Sportsman Modified on the schedule for the night. Before the racing would get under way all the racers and there cars would come out to the track and give there great young fans a ride around the track in there favorite car. Then we would be onto the racing and first up would be the J+S Steel Sportsman Modified for there three heats on the night and the wins would go to Beau Reeves, Codie Aubin and Blayden Aequett. Then next up would be the Taylor Rental 4 Cylinders for there three heats of action and the wins would go to Nate Smart, Glen Engstrom, and Jake Fountain. Then we would have two heats for the Hartson Total Opening Renegades and the wins would go to Billy Thwaits and Richie Turner. Then to finish off the heat races would be the Northern Blacktopping Limited Sportsman Modified with there two heats with the wins go to Scott Fitzgerlad and Pryor Stacey. Then it would be time for the main events on the night and the first one out would be the Taylor Rental 4 Cylinders and the fifteen lapper would go to Jake Fountain after a few rough weeks he was back in victory lane with win number three on the season after some hard racing with Josh Laporte and Greg Zindler to round out the top three. Also with that third place finish on the night Greg Zindler has clinched the 2022 Taylor Rental 4 Cylinders Track Championship with a race to go. Then we would have the J+S Steel Sportsman Modified 40 lap 1,500 to win event and there would be a few quick cautions but then it would settle down you would see a couple hard chargers going after the win with Codie Aubfin coming from 6th place and Joey Scarbrough coming from the tenth spot and the win would go to Codie Aubin for first of the season and also give him a shot at a track championship next weekend as he is 18 points behind Travis Bruno for the title. Then we would see the Hartson Total Opening coming out for there 25 lap event and it would be a battle up front between Billy Thwaits and Tylor Terry for the last twenty laps and when the dust would settle Billy Thwaits would have his first win of the year and Richie Turner would round out the top three. With those outcomes in Richie Turner will head into the last race of the season looking to clinch a title over Nathaniel Guay and Tylor Terry. Then to finish of the night it would be the $750 to win Northern Blacktopping Limited Sportsman Modified event and with the early favor Pryor Stacey spinning and having to restart title it would leave the race wide open and we would see a first time winner in Cody O'Brien with Scott Fitzgerald and Pryor Stacey. Jason Boggett (86) splits the middle as he passes Tony Salerno (58) and Shawn Duquette (18) as he marches to his first career victory. It would be the sixteenth race of the season from the Airborne Speedway and it would be Backpack Give Away Night presented by the Casella Waste management group. The racing would start off with the one heat for the Northern Blacktopping Limited Sportsman Modified and the win would go to Pryor Stacey. Then next up would be the Taylor Rental 4 Cylinders with there three heats and the wins would go to Kenny Tourville, Glen Engstrom, and John Bradley. Then next up would be the J+S Steel Sportsman Modified for there three heats and the wins would go to Codie Aubin, Chris Cayea and Jake Scarbrough. Then to finish off the heat racing action would be thew Hartson Total Opening Renegades for there two with the wins going to Jason McClatchie and Billy Thwaits. Then it would be time for the backpack away during the intermission where they would give out around 250 backpacks to the kids in the stands in time to head back to school in just under thirty minutes. Then it was onto the main events on the night with the Northern Blacktopping Limited Sportsman Modified and Pryor Stacey would get the wire to wire win. Then next would be the Taylor Rental 4 Cylinders for there fifteen lapper and the win would go to Steven Bressette for the second time in the past month and Kenny Tourville and Bill Doner to finish out the top three. Then we would have the J+S Steel Sportsman Modified and would see a great battle up front between Jake Scarbrough and Bucko Branham for the first three quarters of the race until they tangled headed into turn one. On the issuing restart Jamy Begor would take the high side and just be gone for the win.
