At the same time, it would be Andrew Kearney, Connor Matthews, and Thomas Fiebich for the Golden Knights. When the teams returned for the third quarter it would be no better for the Cardinals as they would get shutout 5-0 with Golden Knights goals from Matt Reilly (second of the game), Connor Matthews (second and third of the game), Logan Wilkinson and Alex Seiler (second of the game) as the Golden Knights would have the 13-3 lead as they enter the fourth quarter. In the winning effort, the Golden Knights would stay undefeated at 7-0 as the Golden Knights netminders would combine for ten saves on the day. The Cardinals would lose and fall to 2-5 on the season and Dan Clements would make 14 saves.
