In the second period, the Knights would add four more goals to have a 6-0 lead headed to the third period. In the third period, the teams would trade goals getting the lone Cardinal goal would be Nick Belger as the Knights would secure the 7-1 victory. Plattsburgh State's Luke Baleshetta (23) goes one on one with the goalie as he breaks down the ice. It would be the last regular-season game of the season and a battle of the top 2 SUNYAC teams as the #2 Plattsburgh State Cardinals would host the #12 Geneseo State Knights. The Knights would get the opening goal of the game on a powerplay goal from Matt Solomann at 11:10 of the first period. The Cardinals would answer right back and tie it 1 18 seconds later on a Jesse Neher goal. Then at 13:29 of the first period, Stephen Collins would give the Knights the one-goal lead back. The Cardinals would tie the game back up again this time at two on Conor Gorman's goal at the 16:45 mark of the first period. The game would stay there all the way till the last minute of the second period when Patrick Hermans would score for the Cardinals to give them the 3-2 lead. Although the Knights would tie it at 3 in the first minute of the third period on a Pat Condon goal. The game would end up staying tied at three and the Cardinals would earn there the second tie of the weekend. The #4 Plattsburgh State Cardinals would host the Geneseo State Ice Knights in SUNYAC action. The game would start well for the Cardinals Barry Rotyman would light the lamp to make it 1-0 Cardinals just four minutes in on the power play. The Cardinals would add another special teams goal this time shorthanded as Michael Radisa would make it 2-0 Cardinals with 26 seconds left in the first. When the teams came out for the 2nd period the Cardinals didn't let up as Kevin Emmerling would score two minutes in to make it 3-0. Then at the nine-minute mark the Knights would get on the broad with Stephen Collins's goal to make it 3-1. Then with 4:30 left in the second period, Barry Rotyman would get his second of the net to secure the 4-1 victory. The Plattsburgh State Cardinals would host the Geneseo State Knights in the SUNYAC Semi-Finals at the Ronald B Stafford Memorial Arena. The game would remain scoreless until just 27 seconds into the second period when Dillan Fox would light the lamp to give the Cardinals the 1-0 lead. Plattsburgh State's Jared Dockings would score at the 13:08 mark of second period to make it 2-0. Then with just under two minutes left in the second Kaz Iwanmotto would make it 2-1 at the end of the second period. Then just 53 seconds into the third Mark Constantine would score on the power play to make it 3-1. Then at 3:53 Alex Jensen would score on the same power play to make it 4-1 Cardinals. Then with 43 seconds left in third Connor Gorman would add the empty netter to give the Cardinals the 5-1 victory. Plattsburgh State's Megan Price (3) slides in safe at home plate to tie the game The Plattsburgh State Cardinals would split a doubleheader with the Geneseo State Knights. The would win game 1 5-4 in the dramatic fashion they would score two runs in the 7th off a bunt that was supposed to be an intentional walk. Then in game two, it would be close through the first 5 then the Knights would explode with 4 runs to get the 7-1 win. With the split, the Cardinals record go to 17-6. Gallery
